With Riley’s performance in GFE, true the writing is exceptional. What else would we expect from the masterful director Steven Soderbergh?

But it was Riley’s acting that made all the difference.

The script writing of a movie can only take us so far. How many films have you seen with writings of wizardry, but the wooden actors who had no chemistry together turned it into a toad.

And hey? It wasn’t because of the writing. Right?

It was because of Julian. Yes I know you’re a little confused but no I’m not going to call him Richard Gere.

Richard speaks to the Monks, philosophizes with Dick Cavett, fights for important humanitarian causes, pretends to homeless to make a cinematic point and what does he do with the rest of his time?

Dates and marries super models or James Bond Girls.

Ah, but Julian. He’s a pretty simple, masculine and observant incredibly handsome young guy.

He is still alive somewhere. I just know it. I refuse to believe that the stylish and impeccably handsome young Julian Kaye is dead.

Because of the way he made me feel when I watched AG at least 50 times, at night with no distractions on a big screen TV.

At least the first part anyway. After the hand cuffs on the desk at the police station it mostly goes downhill.

Yet in the beginning, the pulsating Deborah Ann Harry theme song, the pristine black Mercedes, the over-priced luxury retail establishments and the most powerful character in the movie, the beach at Malibu made it the consummate regal package.

A timeless classic.

Now don’t get me wrong. Christine Reade is not Julian Kaye. Mercedes? This chick doesn’t even own a car. She’s always in a cab.

But that baby face, those full lips, the amazing wavy flowing hair, that borderline Alicia Silverstone smirk, in certain scenarios, any guy with a power business suit on, a cell phone mashed to his check, mucho coin in the bank and an unsuspecting wife at home will be reaching for the credit card that’s not maxed out, pronto.

Give Christine her props.

So you can imagine when the Dior Perfume group saw Christine Reade they no doubt fawned over her perfect school girl looks and wondered between runway models if she was the daughter of Julian Kaye?

Well look, if Christine is going to be written out of the next series, at least we gleefully still have Riley to swoon over and buy the perfume that she elegantly touches on.

It’s okay. If only for a moment, let’s take a closer look at Riley before she is whisked off to another project.

The classic film that starred Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton has been picked up by Showtime for a reboot. Other than the people behind-the-scenes, further details have yet to be revealed including the new stars that will take the place of Gere and Hutton.”

Didn’t I tell you? Julian Kaye is still alive.
