It’s no mystery or illusion. Mystique is really good.
“She longs for the old days of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, stars who had real glamour and mystique. We only knew so much about their lives; the rest was a mystery.”
Victoria Louise “Pixie” Lott is an English singer, songwriter, and actress who said that.
Her debut single, “Mama Do”, was released in June 2009 and went straight to number one in the UK Singles Chart.
Our Mystique, who wrestles at London Wrestling Studios, to some of us who have long been around the women’s wrestling industry, purposeful or not, is somewhat of an enigma.
She smiles, though she soon will be lethal. She is slender, yet incredibly strong. She doesn’t boast a long list of special training disciplines, yet she is very skilled. Every time I watch her compete, she seems to win…..and smile.
If we look to folklore for answers, another Mystique is a fictional character associated with the Marvel Comics‘ franchise X-Men. Created by artist David Cockrum and writer Chris Claremont, she first appeared in Ms. Marvel #16.
Wikipedia continues, “Throughout most of her history, Mystique has been a supervillain, founding her own Brotherhood of Mutants and assassinating several important people involved in mutant affairs. Mystique herself is a mutant, a shape shifter whose natural appearance includes blue skin and yellow eyes. At one point, she mentions that she is over 100 years old.
Little is known about Mystique’s past due to the fact that she can eliminate the outward signs of aging with her shape-changing power, and it’s not known exactly how old she is.”
In the female wrestling industry, we’re curious but not overly concerned about a female wrestler’s past. It’s her present and future that captures our attention and Mystique the submission wrestler clearly has a bright one.
Here is what one of the leading women’s wrestling industry’s event producers, London Wrestling Studios had to say about her. “Mystique is truly a unique girl; this beautiful young lady came to us straight after finishing school in 2008! Although she is relatively petite, due to her highly competitive nature, she can dominate opponents quite a lot bigger than herself.
Having undertaken a series of strength challenges, Mustique is currently, pound for pound, our strongest wrestler. As many have already found, when she clamps her scissors on, you will know all about it! As you can see in her pics, Mystique loves to wrestle in custom made wrestling outfits, so prepare to be distracted as you are squeezed and submitted.”
She has submitted many.
The notches on her Bren LMG are notable and varied. Medusa, Ashley, Star, Thunder, Shelby Beach, Jenny, Meteor and the “unofficial” champion Sable have all given Mystique their best shot. I’ve actually read on other competitor’s Twitter pages where the competitor concedes defeat to her even before the match begins.

It was my first visit to the London Wrestling Studio, having used other such places previously. She led the way as we walked to the studio. As we chatted, me telling her of the type of session I wanted. I then knew it’d be a good session with an open minded beauty.

Many say the film character Mystique was the heart and soul of the film X-Men First Class stating emphatically, “Winning us over when we first meet her as a scared and hungry little girl. Throughout the film, she’s the most likable character.”
When someone possesses charisma and a certain mystique, it can entice us to want to peel away the layers. It’s easy to long for the aura and magic of the past encased in perfection by our imperfect memories.
What this writer likes about young Mystique is that she is clearly about the future. As she continues to compete victoriously, not only is watching her in the present enjoyable, the future also looks very bright too.
