December 15, 2019,
The criteria for dating just isn’t what it used to be.
To put it mildly, less is absolutely not more.
Good looks and a respectable job just isn’t going to cut it. At least not most of the time. Especially if you work in the schools of hard knocks, snore knees and bad backs.
Stated another way, the requirements have greatly increased. Especially from the female point of view and much more so if she is looking for a serious relationship from a man who she feels qualifies to meet with her.
Why?
In part because her qualifications and resume has greatly changed.
Improved. Quite so.
A substantial increase in the number of female millionaires has redesigned the match making playing field.
Not just in the United States.
As reported at the global business and information site scmp.com, “Rapid wealth creation in China has dramatically redrawn the global rankings among self-made women, with the mainland now dominating the list of women billionaires, led by touch-screen maker Lens Technology’s founder Zhou Qunfei, according to the Hurun Report.”
On this side of the Pacific, on June 4, 2019, the respected news and information source CNBC added, “Forbes released its annual list of America’s richest self-made women on Tuesday. Among the 80 members with a net worth of at least $225 million, 11 are under the age of 40: four are in their 20s and seven are in their 30s.
In 2017, just three women under the age of 40 made Forbes’ list, though it only included 60 members. Today, “More women are creating new businesses and amassing fortunes than ever before,” Forbes reports.”
Female Competition International (FCI) can attest to that. The list of successful female entrepreneurs continues to surge as well. https://femcompetitor.com/female-entrepreneurs/
On July 27, 2019, Bloomberg posted, “Millionaire women are out-earning millionaire men in the U.S., according to the latest available IRS data compiled by Bloomberg.
Women taxpayers with wages of at least $1 million earned an average $2,506,220 versus $2,477,680 for men, according to data from 144.2 million tax returns containing wage income in 2016 that were filed with the Internal Revenue Service.
The number of women in the $1 million-plus club climbed to 17,609 in 2016, up from 6,597 in 2009, the year the recession ended. Aggregated wages for this group jumped threefold to $44.1 billion in 2016, from $13.8 billion in 2009.”
The feminine financial numbers speak for themselves.
If anyone should know about the dating game surging into 2020, it is Whitney Wolfe Herd.
Whitney is an American entrepreneur as well as founder and CEO of Bumble.
She is also the co-founder of the dating app Tinder.
Bumble Launched in 2014. Their slogan is Date, Meet, Network better.
Hmm, the big three.
Bumble is a location-based social and dating application that facilitates communication between interested users with a twist.
In heterosexual matches, only female users can make the first contact with matched male users, while in same-sex matches either person can send a message first.
Users can sign up using Facebook, and have options of searching for romantic matches or, in “BFF mode”, friends.
So why choose Bumble anyway?
At their website their group smiles, “Bumble was first founded to challenge the antiquated rules of dating. Now, Bumble empowers users to connect with confidence whether dating, networking, or meeting friends online. We’ve made it not only necessary but acceptable for women to make the first move, shaking up outdated gender norms. We prioritise kindness and respect, providing a safe online community for users to build new relationships.”
Good to know. We feel enamored and enlightened.
Now, not at all antiquated. Wish we had participated. Would be nice to meet the criteria stipulated. This is partially what we anticipated.
About Bumble Bizz.
Bumble Bizz facilitates business communications. Whitney has described Bumble as a “feminist dating app”.
Their site notes, “On Bumble, women make the first move. We’re levelling the playing field and changing the dynamics of dating. We believe relationships should begin with respect and equality.”
As of September 2019, with a monthly user base of 5 million, Bumble is the second-most popular dating app in the U.S. after Tinder.
Our star entrepreneur is having such great success that Bumble is launching another vertical named BumbleBFF for finding friends. Ms. Wolfe Herd was named one of Business Insider’s 30 Most Important Women Under 30 In Tech in 2014.
She certainly picked the right industry.
According to USA Today, “Almost half of U.S. online users have met or know someone who has met a romantic partner on a dating website or app. Tinder is currently the leader among online dating services, according to one study of 1,000 adults. Half of the app’s members are part of Gen Z, whose ages range between 18 and 25.”
With the growing number of financially successful women, Bumble has tons of competition.
Another player in the millionaire dating game is MillionaireMatch.
Could they please tell us what they are really trying to say? Could they be just a little more direct?
Oh well. This is pretty direct.
Their team announced on April 18, 2019, “This week, MillionaireMatch hit an impressive milestone of 4 million active users. Founded in 2001, MillionaireMatch connects wealthy and attractive individuals including both certified millionaires and women who have verified their income and profile images.”
Wow. And here we thought the IRS was demanding.
The spokesperson of MillionaireMatch, Gorden W. said, “Unlike other millionaire-based dating sites, MillionaireMatch centers on genuine, verified users who are seeking a serious, long-term relationship. We aim to provide the high quality millionaire match making service to serious elites, successful people, millionaires and single women.”
So why use MillionairemMatch? Their success is tied closely with its unique features, hands-on moderation, and specialized algorithms, which help users get more perfect matches.
For those of you who hated Speed Dating, this is certainly good news. Just don’t to forget to bring those paycheck stubs and bank statements.
The world is certainly changing for women. For the much better. It had better.
Especially when it comes to dating. No more waiting around for Prince Charming.
He sometimes doesn’t make enough money or possess enough stock options.
He might get relegated to the role of Mr. Right, for right now. Tonight only.
Why?
Because more and more women are qualifying for the millionaire club on their own and when it comes to procuring a serious relationship they are seeking similar birds of a financial feather.
