Beautiful Women Are A Canvass For Endless Imagination

Sources of wonder and imagination are as endless as the stars above.

Perhaps that is why so many, especially the young, look to the stars to ignite dreams on earth and beyond.

This longing for what lies in the stars has fuel myriads of science fiction television series and blockbuster movies.

Imagination is essential to our existence.

In a July 2012 article of Psychology Today they enlighten, “Imagination is quite possibly a uniquely human ability. In essence, it allows us to explore ideas of things that are not in our present environment, or perhaps not even real. For example, one can imagine the cup of coffee seen the day before, or one can imagine an alien spaceship arriving in earth’s orbit. They key is that what is imagined is generated from within, rather than perceived based on input from without.”

We look to another view from a January 2015 Huffington Post article adding, “It’s long been said that ‘thoughts become things’ and our imaginative muscle is the very thing that helps make that possible.”

Having said that, sometimes in our desire to look skyward above the trees, we can’t see the forest for it.

Much of the beautiful things of life are very simple and when it comes to imagination, perhaps the most beautiful of all creation is right in front of, beside and sitting among us.

The singing groups of the 1960’s were ahead of all of this in knowing that nothing spurs the imagination more than a beautiful woman.

The Temptations are an American vocal group notable for their success with Motown Records during the 1960s and 1970s. Known for their choreography, distinct harmonies, and flashy wardrobe, the group was highly influential in the evolution of R&B and soul music.

Having sold tens of millions of albums, the Temptations are one of the most successful groups in music history.

Believe it or not, as of 2017, the Temptations continue to perform with one original member, Otis Williams, still in the lineup.

Yes, it was extremely sad and our empathy swelled because how many times, especially as a teen, that we too fell in love with the perfect person and imagined that they had feelings for us only to realize, very painfully so…………that it was just our imagination.

Another group that captured are heart and feelings so thoroughly was a group with a very simple name.

Bread.

Bread was an American soft rock band from Los Angeles, California. They placed 13 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart between 1970 and 1977.

The band consisted of David Gates (vocals, bass guitar, guitar, keyboards, violin, viola, percussion), Jimmy Griffin (vocals, guitar, keyboards, percussion) and Robb Royer (bass guitar, guitar, flute, keyboards, percussion, recorder, backing vocals).

Mike Botts became their permanent drummer when he joined in the summer of 1969, and Larry Knechtel replaced Royer in 1971, playing keyboards, bass guitar, guitar, and harmonica.

When we heard this song, we fell in love with it and deeply in love with the girl spoken of in it.

Summer of ’42 is a 1971 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film based on the memoirs of screenwriter Herman Raucher.

It tells the story of how Raucher, in his early teens on his 1942 summer vacation on Nantucket Island (off the coast of Cape Cod), embarks on a one-sided romance with a young woman, Dorothy, whose husband has gone off to fight in World War II.

Is it possible that women are the most special of all creation?

They have been the source of endless musical masterpieces, emotionally powerful novels, mind blowing fashion designs and timeless movies to name a few.

We are certainly blessed.

As long as women exist, all of our imaginations will continue to flourish.
