Post beauty pageant winners often go on to become gorgeous models for advertisements, desirable actresses and star with high popularity in other occupations that call for feminine worship.
Such an example of a German beauty that went on to great success is Anne-Julia Hagen, a model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2013 and who magically represented her country at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant.
You can imagine the surprise in the Vienna fresh faced Wendy’s circle of friends when the former beauty pageant participant mentioned she went on to become an effective female submission wrestler.

Here are some of the reasons why.
Let’s re-live some of her great matches. She had a sensational battle with the super sexy American star Nikki Fierce at the Berlin Expo complete with one painful body scissors after another and here are the top five videos that Femcompetitor reviewed.
Super Sexy Joanna (right)
- At Berlin Expo, she wrestled the Greek Beauty Joanna who loves to wear the dancer leggings. She subdued the gorgeous brunette much of the match keeping her trapped in a painful head scissors.
- She also competed against Jeanette in blue jeans inside an expansive dojo like facility with light green mats. It was a very tough match that went back and forth, with Wendy in control but Jeanette would make a run and even submitted Wendy with a chin lock head scissors. Otherwise this was Wendy’s match to win.
She amazed with some unorthodox submissions including a head scissor while Jeanette was on top and later at the near the end a text book body scissors.
If you ever witnessed two beautiful girls wrestling in jeans at the school yard, this will take you down memory lane.
- Looking absolutely stunning in white, coal haired German Princess Carina proved to be surprisingly tough and skillfully effective as she completely dominated the Vienna beauty.
I had seen Carina before but I never realized how powerful and skillful the coal haired goddess was. This match stunned me in its depth of domination.

- Both ladies were sporting red with Julia possessing the larger physique but Wendy the greater skill and heart as she had her way with the taller sexy brunette. When you witness the two sweet girls begin their match, Julia has such a size advantage that you might assume that the match was hers to win.
The consensus after this match was that Julia was so devastated by the totality of the loss that she never wrestled again.

SIGNATURE MATCH
Tension is in the air. The Fighting Style Producer announces on my right from Austria Wendy and on my left from Germany Karine. Our Deutschland maiden was adorned in a mouth-watering pink fitness bikini and knee pads and Wendy our Austrian star with model looks was nicely dressed in a black sports top and shorts.
The two gorgeous warriors faced off and before you know it, Wendy was behind Karine and had her wrapped in her arms. They struggle before Wendy finally brings her down with a thud on the mats and wraps Karine in a body scissors.
The two fiercely grappled on the ground with Karine at one point thrusting her hands underneath Wendy’s chin trying to escape amidst screams of anguish from both girls but Wendy wouldn’t let go. Finally Karine rolled upon top and used her left hand to smash Wendy’s face down into the mats. Karine has never had a reputation for being shy. Wendy screamed in pain but was undaunted.
She then trapped Wendy in a head scissors but Wendy managed to get back on top. She would soon trap Karine in a full body press and grapevine. Karine managed to bridge out but Wendy was determined. She soon ensnared Karine in both a painful arm bar and head scissors while the sensuous Austrian smiled and grinned at the crowd as if to say I got her now!
It was a priceless moment.
Karine sighed in agony and submitted.
A pre-match scouting report on this competition would have printed Karine as a heavy favorite.
Given her reputation for being feisty, at times unapologetic about not even shaking hands as she did with Zambia and her skills in fighting at the then female submission wrestling leader DWW’s compound, going up against a German War Horse with this resume you would think the newer girl and heaven forbid beauty pageant winner would not stand a chance.

Life is an unexpected journey.
In the second part of the match it was as though Wendy sucked much of the air out of Karine and began to dominate her even to the point where the ref had to warn Karine not to punch.
It was another match for the ages and a signature win for Wendy.
A well rounded young woman, Wendy enjoyed playing ping pong, jogging, swimming, water skiing and playing volleyball with friends.
The fantastic naming site sheknows.com shares that the name Wendy first appeared in James Banie’s famous story, Peter Pan. No wonder she was such an animated wrestler.

Vienna, the capital city of Austria, will host the month long event the grand finale will take place on 5th December.
This is the first time that Austria will host a Major International Beauty Pageant & it is the first time that Miss Earth Pageant travels to Europe. This will be the second edition to be organized outside the Philippines. 100 countries are expected to compete for the coveted crown of Miss Earth; the reigning Miss Earth 2014 is Jamie Herrel of The Philippines.”

With my height of 1.77 I’ve got already great advantages”, said Annika Grill.”
Having a clear uniqueness, there are still ties to the American Pageantry lights. Austria’s Next Top Model is an Austrian reality documentary based on Tyra Banks America’s Next Top Model that places contestants against each other in a variety of competitions to determine who will win the title of Austria’s Next Top Model, including the cover of a magazine, a contract with a modelling agency, and other prizes that differ throughout the cycles.
