Lunch menu options can be plentiful.
Are we going for Chinese or Japanese cuisine? East Indian curry? Pizza is always a possibility.
But you know what?
Though the options of lunch are plentiful, sometimes only a sandwich will do. Even there, you have a variety of options.
One of the options that millions love is the delicious King Hawaiian sandwich option.
Have you tried one?
The team at allrecipes.com are crazy about them. They smile, “These small, delicious sandwiches are perfect for any party. They are so good that even the pickiest of eaters will eat these.”
We agree. We can be picky.
Let’s travel to their warm and welcoming home. At kingshawaiian.com they are happy to share the origins of their story. Listen in. “Our mouthwatering tale begins in the 1950’s in Hilo, Hawaii. There Robert R. Taira, the Hawaiian-born son of Japanese immigrants who graduated top of his baking class, opened his first bakeshop: Robert’s Bakery. Here is where the first soft round loaves of the Original Hawaiian Sweet bread were made. According to locals, the loaves rarely ever made it home before being devoured. Through hard work and his steadfast commitment to delivering an irresistible product, Robert had successfully created a traditional island favorite.”
Very impressive.
That is their history, so what is happening today?
They update us. “2020 marks the 70th anniversary of King’s Hawaiian, representing a significant milestone for the entire Taira family and the extended ‘ohana. As we’ve grown, we’ve also developed national marketing campaigns that resonate and are inspired by our consumers across the country.”
Look what has blossomed from humble beginnings.
As you view their growth and current partnerships, they seem to just be getting started.
There is more good news in regards to their popularity and growth.
On March 12, 2021, at bakingbusiness.com they report, “King’s Hawaiian has signed an agreement with The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) under which the Torrance, Calif.-based baking company has secured the naming rights to dining areas at four NASCAR-owned facilities: Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach; Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.; Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Va.; and Phoenix Raceway in Phoenix.”
Wow. That is a whopping big deal. Congrats to the family at King’s Hawaiian. Watching high octane sports cars race around the tract has always given us an adrenaline rush. Now we’re going to get an aroma filled rush as well.
Not content to stay pat, as the demand for their delicious sandwiches grow, King’s continues to expand.
