You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
That has been extolled often. The follow up to that though is that you should make the most of your initial meeting when someone does make a great first impression and you are on the receiving end of it.
I think I blew a great opportunity when I met the gorgeous statuesque 6ft 6in wrestler Skye.
It was 2012 in Oakland at a small female wrestling event in a Dojo and she had been invited by the producer to watch in the hopes that she might be interested in wrestling for his private company in the future.
She was blonde, sexy and wore boots that climbed close to her knees. I couldn’t help but keep watching her from a distance and later we were finally introduced, sat and talked for about thirty minutes while the matches continued.
She was impressive. I wish I had taken some pictures and interviewed her. How can you not love a girl who looks like this?
Now, a few years later, I wish there was more information on her. Still, there’s enough to wet our appetite and temporarily quench our thirst. When you take one look at her, doesn’t it make you crave a session? Others have wrestled Skye and here is what an extremely satisfied customer had to say.
“Skye has a nice, clean spot for wrestling in a quiet neighborhood with mats and a shower. When she answered the door at 6′ 6″ I was awestruck. I’m 5′ 10” and found myself at chest level – which isn’t a bad thing. Then I looked up. The pictures don’t do her justice. She is stunningly beautiful with a smile that lights up the room. She invited me in and we talked a bit.
Her personality is infectious.
She is very intelligent and the time passed so quickly with her. When we got down to wrestling, she was all business, except the smile. I’m very athletic. But, at 5′ 10″ and 170, I was no match for her. Her sheer height and strength gave her commanding leverage as she easily moved me from hold to hold. She was respectful of the limits we had agreed, but I still found myself submitting time after time. She is very athletic and knows all the moves of course.
But, if she gets those legs around you, it’s all over, “I submit”.
She was easily able to keep a high level of intensity, dialing it up and down, for the whole hour, though I couldn’t believe how fast the time passed. A truly remarkable wrestler, she has it all: beauty, body, brains, power, and an incredible personality.”
Having hung out with Skye in Nor Cal, that all makes sense.
Here is how she punctuates that admiration, “”I provide an unforgettable experience that is lively and fun.”
According to the last listing at WB270.com, Skye sessions out of Houston. Being from Texas and having spent time in Houston I know first-hand that it’s a great world class city. Why don’t we tip our hat to the city that helped influence Skye.
Let’s play follow the leader and allow the city site houstontx.gov to begin our tour. “Alive with energy and rich in diversity, Houston is a dynamic mix of imagination, talent and first-class attractions that makes it a world-class city. Home to a vibrant economy, beautiful surroundings and a population full of optimism and spirit, it’s no wonder that Houston is a popular international destination.”
The information rich site Wikipedia provides some statistics that you probably didn’t know about this southern metropolis. “Houston is the most populous city in Texas, and the fourth most populous city in the United States.”
Wow. Did you honestly know that?
The powerful information source continues. “With a census-estimated 2013 population of 2.19 million people within a land area of 599.6 square miles (1,553 km2), Houston is the largest city in the Southern United States, the seat of Harris County, and fifth-most populated metropolitan area in the United States.”
HOUSTON TEXANS CHEERLEADERS
Here are a few nuggets that will mostly likely surprise and amaze you.
- Houston became the home of the Texas Medical Center—the world’s largest concentration of healthcare and research institutions—and NASA‘s Johnson Space Center, where the Mission Control Center is located.
- The Port of Houston ranks first in the United States in international waterborne tonnage handled and second in total cargo tonnage handled.
- The city has a population from various ethnic and religious backgrounds and a large and growing international community. Houston is considered to be the most diverse city in Texas and the United States.
Are you ready for this surprise suggestion? I would have never attributed this pastime to Houston.
The fun travel site visithoustontexas.com flexes and expresses, “Want to really see Houston? Grab a bike, because a pair of wheels is one of the best ways to experience H-Town these days. With its mild year-round temps, recently-expanded bike trails (more than 300 miles of interconnected bikeway network cover the metro) and the 2012 introduction of the Houston B-Cycle bike share program, locals and visitors are hitting the road now more than ever.”
Three hundred miles of connected bike ways! Be honest. Did you know that?
I know that Houston has changed a ton since I was there. Our relatives are from Bryan College Station Texas, so one day we took a trip to Houston to visit another relative. The freeways seemed to stretch endlessly. Once we got there, I waited in the car as the adults knocked on the door and to my surprise as I looked across the street I saw this boy chasing a chicken underneath his house. Chasing chickens in a large city? Being from the San Francisco Bay Area, I thought whaaaaaaaaaat?
So, if you travel to Houston you can take a bike ride, have lunch at some great restaurants and session with Skye.
Skye certainly made a great first impression upon me. I would love to see her wrestle another tall sexy girl in real competition. Hope springs eternal. One day that may happen.
Houston is starting to look a lot more enticing. It’s a city worth chasing.
