April 30, 2021,
There’s a new marshal in town.
Who wears a skirt. Makeup too. And desires make up sex.
Sometimes.
Looks good in both. All the time.
Kisses lipstick to lipstick.
Often.
Now the attire is subject to change, depending upon the gala because an evening gown could be in order.
The captivating dark and moody Batwoman television series is not just breaking new ground, it is plowing it up and throwing into their neighbor’s yards.
Special Security Agent Sophie Moore also wears pants. Dark ones. Understandable since she works with a team of crows.
Who are human and carry guns.
She makes a great bodyguard too. Protecting Gotham and all.
Do you know of anyone in Gotham that needs one?
We love Sophie’s role in Batwoman. She has more than one person in love with her. Yes, more, not Moore. By the way, she loves Meryl Streep in real life, who starred in Sophie’s Choice.
This is a choice role for Meagan Tandy who plays Sophie because most of her on screen predecessors have been men.
Sheriffs, Security Agents, Marshals and Body Guards.
None of them wore skirts. At least not publicly.
Here, she truly is the new marshal in town.
We would love for her to watch over us.
Like Kevin Costner did for Whitney Houston in The Body Guard, Denzel Washington for a tiny Dakota Fanning in Man On Fire and as Tom Berenger did for Mimi Rogers, the Socialite, in Someone To Watch over Me, among others.
Bodyguard? Megan we would like to see your resume.
Meagan Yvonne Tandy is an American actress and model.
She is a former Miss California USA who placed as third runner-up at Miss USA 2007.
Meagan also won the Best Swimsuit Award in the 2007 Miss California USA pageant.
We would love to see her in a swimsuit. When she is not being a marshal and hanging out with Crows.
As an actress, she had long running roles in Jane by Design, Teen Wolf, Survivor’s Remorse, and currently stars as Sophie Moore on the The CW‘s Batwoman. Fast becoming one of our favorite shows.
Meagan studied business and film production at Chaffey College for two years where she had to produce, create and edit several commercials and short film projects for the class. While there, she landed a job as a stand-in for December 2003 wedding of “Trista and Ryan”, from Season 1 of The Bachelorette.
Being a member of the Screen Actors Guild, she filmed several television commercials for national campaigns, including Wendy’s, Boost Mobile and a Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi Max. She also temporarily hosted as an online correspondent for E! News.
Our beauty has been really busy.
When it comes to social responsibility Meagan absolutely has a pulse. In May 2012, she founded her own program for teens called “GIRL TALK” where she collaborated with the Women On The Move Network of Rancho Cucamonga. The 1st Annual “GIRL TALK” seminar was held in July 2013.
WOMEN ON THE MOVE NETWORK is a Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation whose mission is to promote the empowerment of girls and young women through a series of planned experiential education programs so that they may become strong and healthy contributors to our community.
All of their programs are designed to help the participants gain the understanding, strategies and tools to make good decisions, choose healthy activities and relationships, explore new ideas, strengthen positive friendships, and develop leadership skills, while having fun in a safe and welcoming environment.
What are some of the benefits to the young girls involved?
The leaderships shares, “As a result of continuous participation in the WHO’S YOUR HERO? Program, girls will internalize the core values of respect, integrity, nobility of spirit and a belief in the equality of women and men, and will reflect those values and beliefs in their behavior, attitudes, use of language and personal choices through the teen years and on into young adulthood. They will take their place as strong, confident young women who will be contributing members of a peaceful society.”
Very impressive.
What else is impressive is that Meagan wanted to join the cast of Batwoman because it is largely written by women and focuses on fascinating female characters. Make no mistake about it, the actresses that perform there are not cookie cutter clichés.
In speaking with reporters at New York Comic Con our star added, “We are representing so many women out there. We’ve got so many strong women on this show and they are all very capable. It’s been nothing short of a blessing to be a part of something like this.”
We feel blessed watching it all unfold. No blindfolds please, Marshal.
It unfolds slowly.
Her character Sophie is a woman who has it all. Career, a wonderful husband, good looks and an abundance of friends.
Perhaps one too many love interests though. That is a bad thing, right?
Who should she choose? Batwoman or, should we say Kate, or her husband? The jury is still out on that one. We’ll have to keep watching.
And look. We are not the only ones obsessively watching.
Get this.
At screenrant.com they muse, “There’s a stark difference between audiences and critics, but that’s because Batwoman has been review-bombed. Firstly, it’s the sheer number of audience reviews over the audience score that gives away the fact that Batwoman has been review bombed. Comparatively, Arrow season 7 (at the end of its entire run) had less than 500 reviews from audiences, and so far, The Flash season 6 only has 49 submissions. Batwoman, on the other hand, has just under 5,000.”
Can you believe that? 5,000? That is mind blowing.
“Nothing ruins your day more than getting a bad review.”… Taylor Swift
That is cluster and red carpet bombing to the max.
In terms of those reviews, good, bad or in between, we are always a firm believer that it is always better to have people be interested in talking about you than not and clearly there has been a lot of talk about Batwoman.
Some of that comes is a result of her relationship with Sophie.
Meagan sure knows how to pick her roles.
Well, as we said. There is a new marshal in town ready to protect and serve.
And she wears makeup.
Given how much chatter there is about her we know she is acting in such an exceptional way that grabs viewer’s attention.
She certainly has ours.
