January 10, 2020,
You keep talking and it makes sense to you, but no one else seems to be buying it.
Yes, literally.
No one is buying your product. No one is believing in your idea, yet you have to keep trying.
You must.
The times are a changin’ and they will keep changing.
It’s called trending.
Fashion is always trending. At break neck speed.
Fashion is always changing.
As reported at forbes.com they enlighten, “Fashion is changing a lot. Now that millennial consumers and Generation Z consumers are the drivers, consumers want something else. They want products that facilitate great experiences and there is less demand for products that scream out the name of their brand than in the past. As a result, it’s harder now to have a hot brand than in the past and brands are being commoditized. Those brands that can still retain their cool factor are scarcer and harder to create.”
Facilitate great experiences? We get it. We think.
What used to work well in the past, may not work well now. That is to your advantage if you have created something that is capturing the moment now.
Right now. Today. Deep in to tomorrow.
Just because no one has heard of your product before doesn’t mean it isn’t worth purchasing.
Just because someone has not seen your innovative idea anywhere before doesn’t mean it is going to work.
What was trending yesterday is completely out today.
“Trends die. That’s the natural thing about a trend. It’s natural for people to be followers and be sheep and go with a trend.”…Russ
What can help make it work in a huge way is if you can get listed on Lyst.
It was a concept that not too long ago no one ever heard of nor let alone didn’t remotely believe in and now many feel they can’t live without it.
It is the retailer’s dating matchmaker to the consumer.
Have you heard of it? If you have, you probably can’t shop without it.
Lyst is a Global Fashion Search Engine, where you can shop items from retailers all over the world.
Having said that, Lyst does not stock any items. Your order is placed and packaged directly with the retailer who will fulfill the order and organize the delivery to you.
Makes perfect sense. A new idea that appears to be working well.
Here is their mission, “What if everything you love could be found through one, wide open door? Lyst exists to make sure our customers can always find the fashion they want, something they truly love (even if they didn’t know they wanted it until they saw it). The customer is at the center of everything we do and we are continually innovating to provide them with even better ways to find the fashion that’s perfectly right for them.”
That have a fascinating story.
They seem to be willing to share so much, including their story at lyst.com, “Established in 2010 from a small shed in Shoreditch London, Lyst’s journey began when founders Chris Morton and Seb Trepca set out to create a way for people to find the fashion they always wanted. Now the largest global fashion search platform Lyst lets you search thousands of online fashion stores at once, bringing together 5 million products from 12,000 of the world’s leading brands and retailers in one place.”
That is incredible.
We are still trying to process it.
The team at apps.apple.com educates, “Browse and buy clothing with 12,000+ brands available. From Gucci to Adidas shop for items you love today. What if you could always find what you really want? With Lyst you can shop your way and discover perfect pieces that you didn’t even know you needed.”
Retailers certainly appreciate what they are doing. Sometimes in life we need a go between to achieve the perfect date. With you. And your wallet.
Lyst shares that last year over 70 million shoppers from 120 countries chose to start their search on Lyst.
They track more than 10 million global searches a month, crunching queries, page views and sales statistics every minute, and they use this data to tell the stories of what the world wants to wear.
We noticed that too as we began to browse the number of retailers offering steep discounts on their products that ranged from skinny jeans to purses and unique sweaters.
We keep hearing of and finding out about new ideas and products.
Like jeggings.
Not leggings but jeggings. Right?
Leggings are usually made of softer material when compared to jeggings, which are skin tight stretchy denim.
Jeggings not only look like jeans but also have buttons, a zipper and sometimes real pockets.
Okay. If it sounds that good, it must feel good.
Then there are glitter jeans. We’ve seen glitter on women’s faces of course, especially if they are cheerleaders. On T-Shirts to. But on jeans?
The team at Lyst remarks, “We all need a little sparkle in our lives, and what better way to do it than with a pair of glitter jeans. Go for an all-over glitter style like Hudson’s white midrise skinnies for a night out on the town, or if you’re looking for a more subtle look, a simple shimmer effect will do the trick. Wear a pair of these with heels and your favorite biker for a cool Saturday night look.”
You have a pair in your closet, right? No? Maybe you should. You certainly know where to search for it.
Which brings us to ankle jeans. Have you been working out?
Back in the day, if your parents didn’t take you shopping for a few years, you out grew your pants. They didn’t get shorter. You just got taller. So there you are walking down local high hallway where the other kids can see your socks because your pants, mostly bell bottoms, only stretch down to your ankles.
Love your floods.
They garnered a lot of jokes. We think you get the point. Floods? Water flowing around you only your pants stay dry.
Now they appear to be the “in thing” if you like ankle length jeans.
“As a designer, you’ve always got to push yourself forward; you’ve always got to keep up with the trends or make your own trends. That’s what I do.”…Alexander McQueen
Whatever the creative style, the latest trend or the newest classic and so on, you can find it at Lyst. They are a wonderful matchmaker and go between.
They are ahead of the curve.
Setting the trend.
If only we could keep up.
