February 14, 2021,
Shoot for the moon.
If you do, the sky is not the limit. It is just the beginning.
The timeless former teen star and gorgeous actress Ione Skye is flying high again in a soon to be released film about marrying a billionaire.
What ever happened to marrying a millionaire?
Inflation. Higher expectations.
Let’s face it. It is an exclusive club of which most beautiful girls would love to marry into.
The World’s Billionaires is an annual ranking by documented net worth of the wealthiest billionaires in the world, compiled and published in March annually by the American business magazine Forbes.
The total net worth of each individual on the list is estimated and is cited in United States dollars, based on their documented assets and accounting for debt and other factors.
Side note, Royalty and dictators whose wealth comes from their positions are excluded from these lists. This ranking is an index of the wealthiest documented individuals, excluding any ranking of those with wealth that is not able to be completely ascertained.
Okay, here goes.
In 2018, there was a record of 2,208 people on the list, that included 259 newcomers mostly from China and the U.S.; there were 63 people under 40 and it had a record number of 256 women. The average net worth of the list came in at US$4.1 billion, up US$350 million from 2017.
Added together, the total net worth for 2018’s billionaires was US$9.1 trillion, up from US$7.67 trillion in 2017.
As of 2018, Microsoft founder Bill Gates had topped the list 18 of the past 24 years, while Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is ranked at the top for the first time and he became the first centibillionaire included in the ranking.
In 2017, Mark Zuckerberg was the only person in the top 10 billionaires list who is under the age of 50, and the only one in the top 20 billionaires list who is under the age of 40.
Whatever film Ione Skye is in, we want to watch. Intensely. Joyfully.
Ione Skye Lee is a British-born American actress, author, and painter. She made her film debut in the thriller River’s Edge (1986) before gaining mainstream exposure for her starring role in Cameron Crowe‘s Say Anything… (1989). She continued to appear in films throughout the 1990s, with notable roles in Gas Food Lodging (1992), Wayne’s World (1992) and One Night Stand (1997).
Our beauty’s other film credits include the comedy Fever Pitch (2005) and an uncredited role in Zodiac (2007).
As expansive as the sky, our starlit also guest-starred on several television series, including The Twilight Zone (2002), Private Practice, and a recurring role on Arrested Development.
In addition to acting, Skye also works as a painter, and has authored several children’s books. In 2006, VH1 ranked her number 84 on its list of the 100 Greatest Teen Stars.
That is one impressive resume.
As you might guess, we were really excited about her starring in a new film about love, money and beyond the sky possibilities.
The movie will also star the elegant industry legend Talia Shire.
Talia Rose Shire is an American actress best known for her roles as Connie Corleone in The Godfather films and Adrian Balboa in the Rocky series. For her work in The Godfather Part II and Rocky, Shire was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress, respectively, and for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama for her role in Rocky.
The release of any new film during this epic pandemic is welcome news, especially when we review how hard the film industry has financially taken a big hit.
As reported at variety.com, “The global cinema industry is set to lose $32 billion in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a 71.5% reduction in box office revenue compared to 2019, according to a recent report by media and tech research firm Omdia.”
Another news and information source cnbc.com reported, “Ticket sales crumpled 80% to $2.28 billion, a far cry from the second-best box office haul ever of $11.4 billion in 2019, according to data from Comscore. The year started off strong, with the industry garnering more than $900 million in January, a 10% increase compared with the same month a year before.”
Ms. Ione Skye? Bring the industry back to life.
