March 2, 2025,
Factual based 100 percent accurate news.
In today’s fragmented and divided world, we need it now more than ever.
Recently, major news anchors, who have been informing us for decades, stepped aside.
One example of that is Lester Holt. As posted by the news leader CNN on February 24, 2025, “Lester Holt, the trusted face of “NBC Nightly News” for the past decade, is stepping down from the newscast this summer.”
He will be greatly missed. We have watched and respected him for years.
The other factor that is decreasing the number of our vital community of journalists, is death.
The world is becoming a far more volatile place and journalists are feeling the brunt of it.
According to the International Federation of Journalists, “One hundred and twenty-two journalists and media workers, including 14 women, have been killed in 2024.”
A very sad statistic.
This should create an awareness of those in the media who are still contributing a very valuable service. One such person it Laurie Jennings.
At lauriejenningslive.com, her team educates, “Laurie Jennings is a 6-time Emmy-award winning TV news reporter and anchor whose face and calming voice are known all across South Florida. Laurie is a member of the prestigious NATAS Silver Circle for her distinguished 30-year career in both local and network TV news that has taken her from Cleveland to Boston to MSNBC in New York, and ultimately, to Miami.”
Wonderful to know.
They add that Laurie graduated from Cornell University with high honors in Government and went on to earn her Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
Laurie is also a motivational speaker who mentors young women and emcees dozens of major charitable events every year – namely for Chapman Partnership, Voices for Children, United Way, Baptist Hospital, The American Red Cross, Holtz Children’s Hospital and Sylvester Cancer Center.
Let’s take a look at her next important project.
