Loved around the world for decades, Dick Clark was an American radio and television personality, television producer and film actor, as well as a cultural icon who remains best known for hosting American Bandstand from 1957 to 1987.
It seemed like that wonderful cultural show that kept its pulse on popular music around the world would last forever.
Mr. Clark once stated, “Music is the soundtrack of your life.”
Well said.
The music we love and remember says so much about where we were, what we were doing, who we were with and often, so much about who we are internally.
Watching the beautiful German Maiden Nathalie Weinzierl stylishly glide across the frosty ivory on magical skates, as much as we admire and are mesmerized by her figure skating, it’s her music program choices that are intriguing as well.
Perhaps it is a window into her philosophical soul.
If it is, then Nathalie is one very creative, tasteful and sexy girl who has an appreciation for some of the classics.
Why don’t we re-live some of Nathalie’s moving selections?
All That Jazz is a 1979 American musical drama film directed by Bob Fosse. The screenplay by Robert Alan Aurthur and Fosse is a semi-autobiographical fantasy based on aspects of Fosse’s life and career as dancer, choreographer and director.
In 2001, All That Jazz was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
That is very impressive.
What is equally impressive is how Nathalie skates to it. She clearly comes alive and so do we.
Please enjoy her performance at the 2015 European Figure Skating Championships.

She has a flair for the burlesque. Very, very sexy.

Her performance infuses us to feel good. Michael Buble’s music can have that effect.
Michael Bublé is a Canadian singer, songwriter, actor and record producer. He has won several awards, including four Grammy Awards and multiple Juno Awards.
Nathalie’s movements and these lyrics are pure perfection.
Birds flying high….You know how I feel
Sun in the sky….You know how I feel
Reeds driftin’ on by…..You know how I feel
It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
For me
And I’m feeling good…..I’m feeling good
This performance will gently clasp your hand and take you into dreamland. We absolutely loved it.

Nathalie thank you so much.
Okay we were in dreamland. Now wide awake, let’s peer into this gorgeous Deutschland Darling’s resume.
Nathalie Weinzierl is the 2014 German national champion and has won five senior international medals, including three gold. She has placed as high as 7th at the European Championships and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
She has also trained in alpine racing at SC Frankenthal from 1999–2005.
Before her skating career, Nathalie did actually compete for the SC Frankenthal as a skier, but later decided that she would pursue a career as a figure skater.
Nathalie began training in figure skating in 2001 at Mannheim MERC, coached by Günter Zöller from 2002. She won the German bronze medal on the novice level in 2006, silver on the youth level in 2007, and silver as a junior in 2008.
She began competing on the national senior level in the 2008–2009 season, placing 13th in her debut. She changed coaches in August 2009, joining Karin Stephan.
In the 2013–2014 season, our super star captured the gold at the Merano Cup and bronze at the Cup of Nice before winning her first senior national title at the 2014 German Championships. She also competed at the Europeans, finishing 8th.
In the 2015-2016 Nathalie won her third silver medal from the German Championships.
We’re just skating the surface. Let’s visit this sensuous Germanic luminary’s homepage.

She smiles, “I am glad that you visit my official homepage, where you can read up-to-date news, photos, results, press reports and much more about my “Life on Ice”. By the way: After a great photo shoot on ice there will soon be new pictures and autograph cards. I wish you enjoy browsing!”
There is nothing more that we love doing than reading about Nathalie’s life and looking at her stunningly beautiful pictures.
Shall we visit Nathalie’s birthplace?
Saarbrücken is the capital and largest city of the state of Saarland, Germany.
Saarbrücken is Saarland’s administrative, commercial and cultural center. The city is situated next to the French border at the heart of the metropolitan area of Saarland.
Saarbrücken was created in 1909 by the merger of three towns, Saarbrücken, St. Johann, and Malstatt-Burbach. It used to be the industrial and transport center of the Saar coal basin. Products included iron and steel, sugar, beer, pottery, optical instruments, machinery, and construction materials.
Rich in history, at their informative government site saarbruecken.de they share, “The city has approximately 180,000 inhabitants and is strongly influenced by its proximity to France and the chequered history of a French-German border town.
The university, trade fair and conference city is set amidst vast woods and enchants visitors with its French charm, which is reflected in the narrow alleys at the foot of the castle and in the pedestrian precinct at the St. Johanner Market Square.”
So a touch of France and Germany mixed together. We’ll drink to that.
The year 2009 was a very special time for Saarbrücken, as the state capital celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Compared to other German cities, Saarbrücken is a smallish village hence a pleasant size. Picturesque rural attractions and places of historic interest offering the perfect destination for a hike or a daytrip are in the close vicinity and even within the town itself.
They is so much to love about Nathalie and the part of the world that she is from.
There is so much to learn as well.
In reviewing Nathalie’s videos we noticed, though rare, like all skaters, once in a while she stumbled and fell.
What we loved most is that when she did, she smiled, immediately got up and finished strong.
In life, all of us fall. It is what we do after we fall that defines us.
It’s been a pleasure visiting the career of the Deutschland Princess Nathalie Weinzierl.
Her exceptional skating provides music to our hearts and on even the frostiest days, a soothing warmth to our souls.
