May 8, 2021,
How have you been? How are you doing? Hope all is well.
Isn’t that the beginning of the typical conversation you have with an old friend when you haven’t seen them in years and they’re back in town for a visit?
Perhaps there have major changes in your life or theirs which prompted the communication.
As the conversation unfolds, often you might be extremely surprised at the updates of what’s going on.
That is how we felt about an old friend in Fruit of the Loom.
To be direct, when we thought of Fruit of the Loom, we’ve had a vision of a high quality company that manufactures nice functional men’s underwear and produces very catchy commercials where actors dress up like fruit.
Yes, we know what you’re thinking. It’s been a while and we need to get out more.
In our underwear. Their underwear.
Well, when it comes to Fruit of the Loom, things have greatly changed.
First off when we pulled up Fruit of the Loom’s name online, guess what we saw?
Mostly men in underwear.
Fruit of the Loom is an American company that manufactures clothing, particularly casual wear and underwear. The company’s world headquarters is in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Since 2002 it has been a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.
Products manufactured by Fruit of the Loom itself and through its subsidiaries include clothing (t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, sweatpants, shorts and lingerie), and sports equipment (softballs and basketballs) manufactured and commercialized by Spalding.
The company employs more than 32,400 people worldwide.
Okay, so some things actually haven’t changed. That’s good. If something is working, keep it working.
Some things have changed. Many things, as a matter of fact.
We did notice they have a women’s underwear section.
Good. Boxers, briefs, bikinis or thongs? Inquiring minds would like to know. Oh, we forgot about panties.
This is one of the first photos we saw.
See what we mean? What a gorgeous fit.
Who said underwear makes the woman? Underneath every great woman is some great underwear.
What a wise person.
Okay, so Fruit of the Loom manufactures some fantastic female underwear.
Thanks for the update. And the visual. Nice touch.
It is worth noting and very newsworthy that when you produce fantastic sustainable female clothing products that you would meet other female attire manufacturers in high places.
Around the world.
Meet Zara. Fruit of the loom has. Every Zara that we’ve met in life has been incredibly beautiful.
ZARA is a Spanish apparel retailer based in Spain.
The company specializes in products that include clothing, accessories, shoes, swimwear, beauty, and perfumes. Zara, as of 2017, manages up to 20 clothing collections a year.
Here is an incredible side note, and remember, you heard it here first.
Reportedly, Zara needs just one week to develop a new product and get it to stores, compared to the six-month industry average, and makes roughly 40,000 designs of which around 12,000 new designs are carefully selected and produced each year.
Zara has a policy of zero advertising; the company preferred to invest a percentage of revenues in opening new stores instead.
Very impressive and effective.
So, we want an update. What is this Fruit of the Loom and Zara partnership about?
Fruit of the Loom partners with Zara to launch their first joint capsule collection available in Zara stores globally and on Zara.com.
That is wonderful news and a wonderful update.
After years of admiration, we are glad to have this conversation.
You’ll be excited to see what these two global retailers have planned.
