In terms of magical appeal, watching a well-dressed confident woman go about her work day can be inspirational and elegant sexy.
One of the opening scenes in the film Fifty Shades of Grey that demonstrates this is when college senior Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) steps in for her sick roommate to interview prominent businessman Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) for their campus paper at his corporate headquarters.
When she arrives and is greeted by the female office staff, it was like watching ex-run way models who made a career change.
They are gorgeous, well-dressed, statuesque and very confident.
That is one of the many reasons why we are attracted to the curvy model Diana Veras.
She’s vibrant, beautifully shaped, takes risks and is very confident.
You can find an array of Diana’s posted photos on Twitter.
It’s intriguing where all of this confidence came from.
In her interview with refinery29.com she smiles, “I did a completely nude shoot — you can see my belly in all its glory and my thighs — and ever since I’ve been really confident about my body, because what can anyone say to me now?” she said. “I’m forced to look at myself and love my body because everyone’s always looking at me. It brings out my femininity the most out of anything I do. I have to indulge and love myself to create an image that everyone else loves and feels.”
That confidence is attracting the masses to her beauty.
“I have a confidence about my life that comes from standing tall on my own two feet.”… Jane Fonda
Diana was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to New York City when she was seven.
Since she signed to JAG modeling agency, she has gained a massive social following of more than 270,000 fans on her Instagram account and growing.
She has been featured in articles on outlets like Styleite and Oyster Magazine.
Here is a nice video where she excites and sparkles.

Diana is riding the wave of excitement and confidence but it hasn’t always been that way.
At www.cosmopolitan.com they relate, “Diana hasn’t always been so stoked about her body. In high school, she told W in January, boys would tease her for being thick. And because her best friends were petite, she couldn’t help but internalize the critique. “It got to the point where I was like, ‘I’m fat.’ I hated my body and my body and myself,” she said in the interview. Success in modeling boosted her confidence.”
We are swiftly becoming fans and we appear to be in good company.
The enjoyable site oystermag.com admires her too. “We are total Diana Veras fans. At nineteen, she has already posed for #mycalvins, Opening Ceremony, and Mass Appeal, but it’s her plus-size (according to modelling industry standards) figure and IDGAF attitude that set her apart from other high fashion models. Diana is a part of the new wave of New York city cool girls, a clique that also consists of Hari Nef, Petra Collins and Barbara Ferreira, all chicks who are killing it despite — or rather, because of — being different.”
In this case different is better.
Different exudes confidence.
The respected group psychologytoday.com explains, “”Confidence” comes from the Latin fidere, “to trust.” To be self-confident is to trust in oneself, and, in particular, in one’s ability or aptitude to engage successfully or at least adequately with the world. A self-confident person is ready to rise to new challenges, seize opportunities, deal with difficult situations, and take responsibility if and when things go awry.
Just as self-confidence leads to successful experience, so successful experience leads to self-confidence.”
Confidence is generally described as a state of being certain either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Self-confidence is having confidence in one’s self.
Diana appears to now be blessed with confidence and self-confidence.
We appreciate the beauty and confidence of Diana Veras.
It’s inspiring.
Let’ read more on the subject from a visiting speaker.
How to Build Confidence – Top 5 Keys
Confidence is the master key to making all of your dreams come true even in the midst of trials and tribulations. Here are the top 5 keys that show you how to build confidence if this is an area that you struggle with. Once you master these keys and build your self-confidence, all doors that were previously shut to you will be opened.
I am certain that there are extremely confident people that you know or have seen. People that you have said that you would like to be like. How could you tell that they were confident? Maybe it was because of the way they talked, or carried themselves. Self-confidence is especially evident through someone’s speech and also their body language.
Everyone is capable of learning how to become self-confident. This is not something that anyone has to be born with. We have all had events in our lives that have knocked our confidence down but it is time to pick it back up again.
-
Self-Concept
In order to build self-confidence, the first step is to change the way you think about yourself. You will need to examine your self-image to determine what your self-defeating ideas about yourself are. Stop programming yourself for failure with your self-image and what you say about yourself.
It is time to reprogram yourself and one way to do this is to replace all the negative thoughts about yourself with positive ones. This may be hard to do at the beginning but it is very important and you shall have to do it daily.
You need to realize that if you do not believe that you are worth it, you shall never achieve anything worthwhile and your dreams shall remain exactly that – dreams. Make building your self-confidence a priority.
-
Body Language
Be aware of how you are using your body because your body language speaks volumes to others. For instance, when you cross your arms across your body, this signifies to others that you are closed off or nervous and not that you are confident with yourself.
People are always evaluating your body language in social situations and it is always important to be aware of how you are presenting yourself. If you fold your arms, slouch, do not make eye contact, these all convey negative messages to others.
- Change Environment
Look around you and see who you surround yourself with or the environment that you are in. Do the people or surrounding support confidence building or is it negative. Do all your friends speak negatively? Misery loves company! If you are miserable and mistreated on your job, it may be time to switch jobs.
Do your friends or family members sow seeds of discouragement and doubt in you by saying that you will never be able to achieve your dreams or better yourself? If so they are spiritual vampires and you will need to make a decision to either limit your contact with them or remove yourself from them entirely.
Building your self-esteem and confidence is a very important undertaking which involves what you hear. Hear the right things and watch your confidence increase bit by bit.
Venture out into new environments and make new acquaintances who do not know you and have not made judgments about you and do not have pre-conceived notions about you.
- Practice, Practice, Practice
Being confidence takes daily practice. You may have to “fake it until you make it”. You have to create new habits every day to replace all the confidence destroying habits that you have practiced in the past.
Whether you believe it or not, in the beginning of confidence building, you have to act confident. Practice the speech patterns and the body language of a confident person that you know or have seen. If you do it long enough, it will become second nature to you.
- Make the Achievement of Your Dreams Your Main Focus
Have you given up on your dreams? Do you believe that you will never achieve them? It is time to believe in yourself again and believe that you can achieve anything. As the saying goes, if you believe that you will never achieve, you are right! The reverse is also true, if you believe that nothing is impossible, guess what, you are right!
Far too many people have given up on their dreams. They have simply stopped trying because of a lack of confidence to continue the pursuit of their dreams and happiness.
Being confident means persevering in the midst of one obstacle after another.
