Everyone has a story and more important, all of our stories have a theme.
Hopefully a good one.
Femcompetitor Magazine has admired Brooke Tessmacher from a distance for quite some time and while we won’t go as far as to say that we’ve fallen madly in love with her, we have to admit, it’s pretty close.
Researching Brooke is a daunting task.
Given how much this Indie performer has accomplished, to compile the exhaustive positive information and accomplishments found, we thought about enlisting a librarian to lend a hand.
What about a theme to her story you ask?
She’s super sexy, beautiful, athletic, popular, entertaining, well-traveled, influential and much more. To choose one is too perplexing. What is the solution?
How are others on her wrestling circuit describing her? The word that we hear over and over again, especially from the ring announcers is tenacious.
To succeed in life in today’s world, you must have the will and tenacity to finish the job.…Chin-Ning Chu
What propelled this Missouri Princess to great success? Let’s begin at well……the beginning and view her foundation.
Always a nice information source, prowrestling.wikia.com educates, “Brooke Nichole Adams (December 4, 1984) is an American model, dancer, and professional wrestler, best known for her time in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under the ring name Brooke. She previously worked for World Wrestling Entertainment appearing with Kelly Kelly and Layla in the dance group Extreme Exposé on the company’s former ECW brand. She is a former three-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion, and a one-time former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Tara, known collectively as TnT.”
Good to know.
Brooke fits the profile that we have been preaching about for some time.
The world of female wrestling is now comprised of women who possess many life skillsets.
We are constantly intrigued by how many competitive female submission wrestlers are former dancers and models. Imagine all of these beautiful ladies performing their various art on one venue.

If you’re like us, you will be amazed at the volume of her matches and accomplishments.
There is still more room for praise and we are happy to provide it. It speaks to her determination and tenacity.
Prior to becoming a wrestler, Adams competed in bikini pageants such as Miss Hawaiian Tropic, and Miss Swimsuit USA. She was wise enough to hire an agent to guide her career and the advice suggested was to perhaps focus on the booming fitness industry and find success there.
She did.
A lot of people that I started out with, I don’t know where they are. I guess it takes tenacity to still be doing this, and luck, but I’ve been very blessed.…..Dennis Quaid
After her release from WWE, Brooke returned to fitness modeling and went on to place in the Hawaiian Tropic, Planet Beach, Darque Tan, and Bikini USA model search contests. At the 2006 Grand Prix of Houston, she won the local round for the Face of Champ Car beauty contest.
Brooke proved to be exceptional and was crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic Texas 2008 on November 8, 2008.
In late 2010 she took part in the Hooters Texas Swimsuit Pageant Finals to determine seven Hooters girls who would go on to the 2010 International Hooters Swimsuit Pageant competition. In August 2011, Adams announced that she was the winner of the Hooters’ Viewers’ Choice $10,000 award as advertised on the Hooters Swimsuit Pageant competition.
Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity…….Louis Pasteur
While Brooke has gained global fame, when you peek into her past it makes her rise even more admirable. So often how far we go in life is placed into perspective by where we come from.
According to Wikipedia for a time, Brooke and her family lived out of her mother’s Daytona hatchback until they had enough money to afford an apartment.
For anyone who has had to survive that, it can be a very trying experience. The comforts of life that so many take for granted can range from being complicated to a frightening daily or weekly ordeal.
Where do you bathe? Brush your teeth? How do you keep warm when it’s extremely cold outside? How do you decide what to keep or discard? How do you keep your food refrigerated? How do you cook your food? It’s cheaper that way or will you have to go the more expensive way and keep buying fast food? What happens when you get sick? Where do you park at night where you are safe from assault or robbery and where the police won’t keep hassling you?
I think you get the point.
They moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Houston, Texas when Brooke was seven years old. She attended Spring High School, and was active in basketball, volleyball, track and rugby.
Now for our point.
What has intrigued and surprised us when we research the lives of female wrestlers, submission and lady pro alike is how their stories teach powerful lessons if we don’t fall into the trap of only focusing on their sex appeal and beauty.
By the time I left school, I had a lot of tenacity.….Halle Berry
Did you know that parts of St. Louis has changed dramatically in recent years? For many the image of St. Louis conjures up a visual of a large rural community in the Mid-West where the world famous Cardinals play baseball and where Huck Finn once roamed.
Today if he roamed there, in certain parts of St. Louis he would need to learn the Bosnian language.
Here is the basic bio of the St. Louis that we have been used to.
St. Louis is a city and port in Missouri. The city developed along the western bank of the Mississippi River, which forms Missouri’s border with Illinois. In 2010, St. Louis had a population of 319,294; a 2014 estimate put the population at 317,419, making it the 60th-most populous U.S. city.
Its iconic, 630-ft. Gateway Arch, built in the 1960s, honors the early 19th-century explorations of Lewis and Clark and America’s westward expansion in general.
Here is a sizable story of the new St. Louis.
The city of St. Louis now includes a large Bosnian population.
The highest concentration of Bosnians in St. Louis is in the “Little Bosnia” neighborhood of Bevo Mill. The Bosnian cultural imprint can be seen in the numerous Bosnian restaurants, bakeries, and cafes, as well as several Bosnian Mosques and Islamic organizations.
Many people left a dangerous situation in Bosnia and Croatia behind and today much of the Bevo Mill neighborhood is populated with immigrants, particularly Bosnian Americans and Croatian Americans.
St. Louis is now home to the largest Bosnian population per capita outside of Europe.
An estimated 70,000 Bosnians live in the St. Louis metro area. The growth of the immigrant population in Saint Louis has helped stem the decline in the city’s population. Many Bosnians have revitalized the city of St. Louis through buying homes in South St. Louis and opening up new businesses which has helped to stimulate the economy.
Think about this in terms of the world of the global homelessness due to war. Again, Brooke and her family once had to live in a car.
Did you realize that as of this writing due to the ravages of war according to The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), a group strongly supported by the A-List Actress Angelina Jolie, that from day to day there are 13,000,000 refugees in the world?
To place that into perspective, that would be like uprooting the entire populations of New York and Los Angeles city proper combined and forcing them to roam and leave their homes.
Despite what many politicians are saying, immigration is a very complicated and human issue. How much responsibility do we have to our global neighbors?
To survive wouldn’t you agree that tenacity would be a bare minimum requirement?
Men never cling to their dreams with such tenacity as at the moment when they are losing faith in them, and know it, but do not dare yet to confess it to themselves.….William Graham Sumner
With great sincerity, Booke Tessmacher’s life is a fascinating tale in determination and tenacity.
We are very fortunate that as fans we can enjoy her highly entertaining and super sexy performances in the comfort of our homes and ringside seats.
Having said all of that, perhaps from time to time we might reflect on how her life theme of tenacity is competitively literal and migratory symbolic.
