July 14, 2021,
From the moment you met her, you had a vision and a pocketbook to back it up.
There, like a gleaming diamond, it rose up on the hillside, among the trees, with a spectacular view of the Los Angeles basis.
You collaborated with the designers, architects and a construction team determined to build a home that matched the enormous personality of the beautiful woman you loved.
There is a boom going on around the world that, at least temporarily, will house some of the most beautiful Hollywood actresses that we love.
That, by definition, needs to be a really big house.
As reported by the Wall Street Journal (wsj.com), “A scramble by studios and tech giants for programming to keep their streaming platforms fresh has touched off a building bonanza unlike any seen since the early days of the entertainment industry. Even abandoned malls are being eyed for the job.”
Massive sound stages are all the rave.
Who would have thought?
The 2020 Pandemic shut so much down, thankfully temporarily, and now Hollywood has a global audience ready to voraciously consume new programming and entertainment.
The article continues to share that there is a sound stage going up in Buffalo, another planned for Missoula, the South Side of Chicago, Seattle, Spokane, Oklahoma City just opened one, and of course Los Angeles is getting at least a half-dozen more. Very massive ones.
Previously sheltered in, it is so great to be busier than ever.
What makes us so happy is that one of our favorite stars is most likely to have one built just for her. Just as if we designed it ourselves. To house her enormous talents upon a hill, illuminated at night under the stars.
Quiet on the set. Here she comes. Let us take a peek at the script.
Here is the storyline.
Rich with a lot of time on your hands, what might you often wonder about?
Many things really. One that appears on the idle rich hit parade most often is this one.
Is my attractive spouse cheating on me?
Even if your spouse hasn’t given you strong evidence that they are, you just have this feeling in your tummy that’s making you feel rummy.
All of those business trips out of town.
A lack of interest in love making.
You are talking and they are not listening. Uninterested. Always looking at their cell phone.
Clues abound.
Is it in your head or are they real?
In the thriller Chloe, that is what the elegant and well-coifed wife Catherine believes and she is determined to prove or disprove it.
She finds the perfect beautiful creature named Chloe to test her theory.
Catherine stops by the hotel bar where Chloe waits for clients, telling Chloe that she wants to hire her to test her husband David’s loyalty.
To her surprise, Catherine begins to be attracted to Chloe and the inevitable happens.
“When you get into a hotel room, you lock the door, and you know there is a secrecy, there is a luxury, there is fantasy. There is comfort. There is reassurance.”… Diane von Furstenberg
As the master reviewers at rogerebert.com observe, “Chloe is perhaps 25 years younger than Catherine, but in many ways wiser and more experienced. She is certainly more clear about what it is she really wants. She enjoys the psychological control of her clients, and her own skill in achieving that. She looks so young and innocent, but her life has taught her many lessons.”
Often troublesome ones.
After having an incredible encounter with Chloe, Catherine arrives home later than usual, leading David to ask her if she has been unfaithful. Catherine tells him she thinks he has been unfaithful as well, and the two argue.
Isn’t it grand to be part of the idle rich?
As far as Catherine straying from her designer home, it is understandable when Chloe looks just like the elegant and sultry blonde actress Amanda Seyfried.
Well that’s because she is Amanda Seyfried.
We feel she should be dubbed Amazing Amanda.
Amanda broke into acting via soap operas, before making a splash with supporting roles in the hit film Mean Girls and the HBO series Big Love.
The rest of her resume is incredible too.
She began her career as a model when she was 11 and her acting career at 15 with recurring parts on the soap operas As the World Turns (1999-2001) and All My Children (2003).
Ms. Seyfried has had lead roles in a number of successful films such as Solstice (2008), Jennifer’s Body (2009), Chloe (2009), Dear John (2010), Letters to Juliet (2010), Red Riding Hood (2011), In Time (2011), Les Misérables (2012), Gone (2012), Lovelace (2013), The Big Wedding (2013), and the Seth MacFarlane comedies A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) and Ted 2 (2015). Other films include While We’re Young (2014), Pan (2015), Fathers and Daughters (2016), First Reformed (2017), The Clapper (2017), Anon (2018), Gringo (2018) and The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019).
Whew. Please take a deep breath after reading that resume. Magnificent.
Standing ovation please.
We’ve enjoyed a number of Amanda’s films. Chloe shows us another side that we love to delve in within our female submission wrestling world which engulfs us in the fantasy dream realm.
Amanda’s Chloe has a way of mesmerizing, capturing and drawing you in.
Our gorgeous star was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Do you know much about the town? Given that is helped form Amanda, it is worth a closer look.
Allentown is Pennsylvania’s third most populous city.
This places her location in perspective.
Allentown constitutes a portion of the New York City Combined Statistical Area and is the county seat of Lehigh County.
Allentown is approximately 60 miles north-northwest of Philadelphia.
In 2012, the city celebrated the 250th anniversary of its founding in 1762.
Allentown holds historical significance as the location where the Liberty Bell (then known as the Pennsylvania State House bell) was successfully hidden from the British during the American Revolutionary War.
As Amanda continues to create movie history, it is fitting that she is from a place so rich in it.
Sometimes when we think of the historical Eastern United States, images of coal mines and steel mills with smoke bellowing into the sky may come to mind.
Allentown bucks that trend.
Amanda’s hometown was one of only six communities in the country to have been named a “national success story” in April 2016 by the Urban Land Institute for its downtown redevelopment and transformation that has generated nearly $1 billion in new development projects as of April 2019.
That truly is impressive.
Impressive as well is another Amanda film that allowed us to bask in the fantasy realm even if we were a little frightened.
Red Riding Hood is a 2011 American romance horror film directed by Catherine Hardwicke, and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson.
As you may have guessed, the film is very loosely based on the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood.
The film grossed over $89 million worldwide against a $42 million budget.
Brilliant.
Critics praised Amanda’s performance.
As the storyline goes, Valerie (Seyfried) wants to marry Peter, who is a wood chopper, but her parents have betrothed her to a rich young lad named Henry. The village since time immemorial has been terrorized by a werewolf, who turns up when the moon is full and must be pacified by a little piglet left chained to a stump, lest it develop an appetite for villagers.
Soon Valerie’s sister is found dead and the plot thickens.
Amanda looks mystical and captivating dressed in red.
“Dreams are not without meaning wherever they may come from-from fantasy, from the elements, or from other inspiration.”… Paracelsus
It is one of the many aspects to her career that we love. The desire to escape into the fantasy hemisphere is a hallmark of our Session Girl industry which we are crazy mad about.
Sometimes watching a film reminds us of the need to fantasize and escape.
A wonderful guilty pleasure.
When Amanda Seyfried brings her fantasy A game as she did in Chloe and Red Riding Hood, the experience satisfies in ways that only a sultry, elegant, sensuous actress like Amanda could.
We’re told that her portrayal of Marion Davies, the Hollywood Golden Age super star, in the film Mank, is Oscar worthy.
So keep building those cavernous sets, complete with special designs and thought provoking scenery.
If you ask for our opinion, we have just the right sensational actress that should be carefully housed in one, in her next breathtaking role.
