February 15, 2020,
Could your event benefit from global exposure?
The answer is most likely profoundly yes.
Achieving that goal can be very challenging.
While most of us were sleep, one global player has never been asleep at the wheel.
There is a group that passionately helps organizations propel their events to a global market and if you are planning an event yourself, you should probably get to know who they are.
Informa PLC is a leading international Exhibitions, Events, Information Services and Scholarly
Publishing Group with annual revenues approaching £3 billion.
Informa Markets produces more than 550 international B2B events and brands each year.
The organization has offices in 43 countries and around 11,000 employees. It owns numerous brands including CRC Press, Datamonitor, Fan Expo, Institute for International Research, Lloyd’s List (London Press Lloyd), Penton, Routledge, Taylor & Francis, and UBM.
It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
The company operates more than 500 trade shows and 10,000 conferences annually, and publishes newsletters, academic journals, commercial databases, and academic and business books.
Their events and brands bring a diverse range of industries and specialist markets to life, as they have significant international reach and industry depth and breadth. They create platforms for customers, partners and communities to engage, trade and grow, helping them thrive 365 days a year.
Does that sound like something your event could benefit from?
Recently they shared some important news, “Informa Markets has opened a full-service office in Las Vegas in a move to be more visible and engaged in the Las Vegas community, where many of the leading exhibitions organizers’ shows are held. The office will make Informa Markets the first global tradeshow company to have full service in Las Vegas, with plans to expand over the next year as they build an on-site team to help support Informa’s roughly 25 shows held annually in the city.
Informa is Las Vegas’ biggest client, driving nearly $650 million in revenue* to the city each year. The tradeshow organizer has been a powerhouse in the City of Lights for decades, partnering with the LVCVA on its very first city-run event transportation service, as well as with Mandalay Bay Convention Center on energy efficient lighting systems.”
They add that the Las Vegas Convention Center is expected to become one of the largest convention complexes in North America once renovations to its existing structure complete in 2023. Statistics show that many exhibitions perform better in Las Vegas than in any other city due to good weather, ample hotel space and entertainment options.
Big news was also shared about them by the team at tsnn.com that places in perspective their size and financial strength, “UK.-based Informa is set to acquire U.S.-based Penton in a deal worth $1.56 billion from private equity owners MidOcean Partners and Wasserstein & Co.
Penton is just the latest in a string of acquisitions that Informa has made in the U.S. market, with the buy of Hanley Wood Exhibitions in 2014 and, more recently, the Light Reading portfolio.”
Their global footprint combines local expertise with an international network, bringing a diverse range of specialist markets to life by providing high-quality connections and experiences through their global events portfolio, data tools, and digital reach.
Simply put, they empower communities, and enable new opportunities for businesses to come to life.
They provide customers and partners around the globe with platforms in key regions and market verticals to engage, do business, create compelling experiences and make powerful connections.
Using their industry insight and entrepreneurial approach, they unlock global markets and enable new possibilities for businesses to come to life.
Sounds very powerful.
Here is a perfect example of what they are doing in Miami.
BeyondBeauty Americas Launch Event Confirms International Participation
Beauty Companies from US, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America to showcase their latest beauty innovations at this B2B event
NEW YORK, Feb 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — BeyondBeauty Americas – Miami Beach is picking up speed on its first edition scheduled for October 15-17, 2020 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida, expected to host over 400 exhibitors and more than 8,000 visitors.
Organizers today confirm the participation of major beauty companies from France, Taiwan, Japan, China, Australia, Peru, Argentina and of course, United States. Country pavilions have been allocated to Korea, Germany and Poland, along with an extensive show area dedicated to South American beauty companies.
The current exhibitors list already offers fair representation to all beauty industry sectors, from organic skin care products to sustainable packaging and supply chain, providing participants a comprehensive platform to connect, learn and expand their business.
Why are they coming to Miami?
According to Claudia Bonfiglioli, General Manager of Informa Markets Global Beauty Division, “we are expanding our global beauty network with the strategic mission to connect the international beauty community to the growing South American beauty markets, currently lacking a comprehensive beauty business platform at the scale it deserves. We are actively collaborating with our extensive Informa South American network and top US beauty organizations, as well as with South American international trade officials and beauty associations, to federate our efforts and provide an extraordinary platform for the beauty industry to thrive.”
A vibrant hub of international business and cultural exchanges, Miami Beach is home to a multi-ethnic population with networks throughout North and South America, and the Caribbean Islands. The very symbol of diversity and inclusivity, Miami Beach was chosen as the ideal location to celebrate self-expression and uniqueness through beauty, bringing together the global beauty communities to connect with the North and South American markets.
What is BeyondBeauty?
The show is answering the question in more ways than one. On one hand, the current beauty trends are challenging long established beauty standards. Beauty diversity, beauty health, inclusivity and self-expression are becoming more and more the measures of true beauty, with every sector of the industry bringing forth innovations for personalized beauty solutions that are healthier, more natural, and more in sync with individual needs.
One the other hand, behind every innovative new product there are massive dynamics at play and complex interdependencies between industry sectors, from ingredients, manufacturing technologies and supply chain, to salon equipment and retail technologies. BeyondBeauty Americas – Miami Beach is not just another beauty show: it is a vital platform for these interdependencies to harmonize and expand.
