July 1, 2019,
Life is one big transition. Most of us understand that and often fight against it.
So what does it mean for you during a point in your life when you have endorsement deals from global retail giants in L’Oreal Paris and Old Navy?
Imagine that.
Most likely you’ve transitioned into a very good time in your life.
Especially financially. Those endorsements will bring you millions of dollars to gently place into your bank account.
Just ask Ximena Navarrete. She should know since she secured both suitors.
Jimena “Ximena” Navarrete Rosete is a Mexican actress, TV Host, model and beauty queen who won Miss Universe 2010.
Previous to winning the Miss Universe competition, our gorgeous princess began modeling at age 16 while studying nutrition at the Valle de Atemajac University.
The Universidad del Valle de Atemajac is a private Catholic university in Zapopan, Mexico. While international students are welcome, the language of instruction at UNIVA is Spanish.
Zapopan is a city and municipality located in the Mexican state of Jalisco.
Part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, the population of Zapopan city proper makes it the second largest city in the state, very close behind the population of Guadalajara proper.
It is best known as being the home of the Virgin of Zapopan, an image of the Virgin Mary which was made in the 16th century. This image has been credited with a number of miracles and has been recognized by popes and even visited by Pope John Paul II.
The municipality is also the home of the Centro Cultural Universitario, which contains one of the most important concert venues in Latin America and is the home of the new stadium for the C.D. Guadalajara.
By 2009 our rising star had entered and won the Nuestra Belleza Jalisco competition, moving on to win the national title of Nuestra Belleza Mexico, as well.
She’s clearly creating a buzz in the pageant and modeling industry.
Understandably Ximena’s life would change forever after being crowned Miss Universe on August 23, 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. At the tender age of 22, she was only the second participant from Mexico to win the title in the competition’s 59-year history, she was only 22 at the time.
Two months later, she was whisked away to Shanghai, China for the 2010 World Expo and Shanghai Fashion Week. The more global exposure, the better.
Soon after Ximena moved to a larger stage by being named spokesperson of both L’Oreal Paris and Old Navy with the prestige and money to follow.
This agreement has added up to a net worth of $5 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.
This is certainly a great time in her life especially emanating from humble beginnings.
She describes her life in Guadalajara, one of the largest and most populated cities in Mexico, as relatively calm compared to her life in New York City after winning the title of Miss Universe in 2010.
That success that to expressions like these from admirers like us.hola.com who praise, “Ximena Navarrete is known for her spectacular style and beauty. The 30-year-old Mexican actress and former Miss Universe is also a social media star who continuously impresses us with her fashion and glowing makeup looks.”
We can’t leave Guadalajara without the aroma of a great meal.
The name that keeps sauntering across guest’s lips is Bruna.
Shall they explain themselves? Please do.
Located in a beautiful former art gallery, at Trip Advisor they share, “BRUNA was born under the premise of creating a place in the city of Guadalajara that meets a number of elements stimulating the senses, from the palate, visual and going through the sound. A kitchen without presumption, focused on good food, good wine and good music at sensible prices.
We contribute to join the tapatio culinary scene, taking possession as a landmark and tradition in the city.”
Here are two reviews:
“Amazing restaurant. Delicious food. The service is excellent with a beautiful gardens and art pictures.”
“A beautiful and charming place, with an open garden dining place that is perfect for Guadalajara weather.”
Would love to partake. Ximena is from a culinary paradise.
Yes her new life is an extremely lucrative one and in terms of her commitment to important causes, a very busy one as well.
Ximena found herself traveling all over the world from Russia to the Dominican Republic to attend national finals. When not going to pageants, her free time was spent traveling to Panama to work with Aid for AIDS or Guadalajara to raise awareness for Children International.
Perhaps a closer look at this wonderful organization is in order.
Children International is a global nonprofit humanitarian organization that helps children break the cycle of poverty. It addresses children’s critical needs through early intervention and regular interaction in community centers. The goal is to help children overcome the effects of poverty, support their education, and prepare youth to contribute to society.
The organization provides health benefits, such as annual medical exams and care during illness. If a child needs more advanced health intervention, the organization assists in providing referrals to specialists.
Beyond these primary critical needs, Children International provides nutritional support, dental care, counseling for children and families, school supplies and fees, clothing, and items for the home.
The international hotel chain InterContinental is one business working with the charity to provide job skills training for youth in Mexico. Children International has also worked with the Starwood Foundation to help youth prepare for jobs in the hospitality industry.
Children International ran other notable programs including a school feeding program in Zambia.
The team has engaged in humanitarian aid after disasters. They provided assistance in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan, distributing personal care supplies, and clothing, food, water and other relief.
Their helping hands can be felt around the world. Ximena is in great company.
So what other company does she keep?
