Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi is an American business executive and the current Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo, the second largest food and beverage business in the world by net revenue.
In terms of leadership she was once quoted as expressing, “Leadership is hard to define and good leadership even harder. But if you can get people to follow you to the ends of the earth, you are a great leader.”
Question for you?
Are you a person who follows others to the end of the earth or are you capable of leading them there?
Both are about evolvement. No one is a great leader at one years old. So in terms of being a leader or a follower, which one would you prefer to be?
Today we have many wonderful examples of women who are leading us in the present and guiding us into the future.
Once such business woman is Jesse Draper. She is a producer, actress, writer and host of Valley Girl Talk Show.
That’s exciting and enticing.
Here is her interview with star actress Jessica Alba. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2xzqcZKJxY
Jesse is the daughter of Silicon Valley venture capitalist Timothy C. Draper.
Jesse began her career as an actress. Her first notable role was on the Nickelodeon series The Naked Brothers Band, which starred her cousins Nat Wolff and Alex Wolff and was created by her aunt Polly Draper.
She created a web show called The Valley Girl Show and is its host, writer, and producer.
She later attended UCLA. In May 2014, Draper signed a distribution deal with Cox Media Group to broadcast her talk show, The Valley Girl Show, in Northern California and Seattle.
About her show. At valleygirl.com they smile, “The Valley Girl Show draws entrepreneurs — such as Sheryl Sandberg, Steve Wozniak, Elon Musk and Jessica Alba – out of their comfort zone to generate real, unscripted dialogue with the thought leaders of technology and business.
With Draper as the savvy, enthusiastic, knowledgeable host, the audience learns of each entrepreneur’s beginnings, follows their process from germ of an idea through the creation of a company, and addresses their current and future goals. After garnering more than 200 interviews for her influential online show, Draper will introduce her entertaining and informative platform to five million households this summer and 30 million households with a larger rollout by the end of the year, courtesy of Cox Media Group.”
Wow. Superbly impressive.
We want to read more about Jesse and they are ecstatic to oblige, “Previously a Nickelodeon star, Draper has used her comedic and acting talents to bring an approachable feel to the business world. Through Valley Girl, she has helped pioneer the way in the digital media world and has created a new distribution model for online shows.
Draper is also an angel investor through her fund, Valley Girl Ventures where she does early stage seed investing in female founded startups; some of her portfolio companies include Laurel & Wolf, Move Loot, Carbon38 & Sugarfina.
Jesse founded a women in business organization in association with ‘The Valley Girl Show’ which holds exclusive quarterly events across the country for networking and support of women in business. She is a contributor to SV Magazine, Mashable, Forbes.com, Huffington Post and Glam and is regularly asked to appear as a tech expert on CNBC, HLN and has also appeared on such talk shows as ‘The Katie Couric Show’. Jesse splits time between Silicon Valley and Santa Monica and is a graduate of UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television.”
Now that is the resume of a great leader.
No matter your position or status in life, is that what you want more of in your future? To lead? To love what you do every day and inspire others?

The 3 Questions Every Leader Needs to Ask Every Day
By Cheryl Cran
Everyone is a leader – everyone influences, communicates and impacts other people and therefore everyone could be a leader. It’s a shift of perspective.
Regardless of whether you have the title of a leader there are leadership attributes that everyone can master. Increasing the ability to communicate effectively and increasing the ability to make decisions are just two leadership skills that everyone would benefit from.
But what makes a master leader?
What makes a leader beloved or makes people loyal to him or her?
A master leader is a leader who consistently looks to learn and to impact others in an inspirational and meaningful way.
A leader that inspires loyalty or who is beloved has mastered the art of knowing how to make people feel good (even when being given feedback) and how to help people grow.
In order to master leadership and to become a beloved leader there are three questions that a leader needs to ask himself or herself every single day.
Question #1 – What can I do today to share inspiration, ideas, and creativity for myself and my team?
Question #2 – What can I learn from the people around me whether I like them or not?
Question #3 – How can I become a master communicator, connector and creator?
These three questions provoke thought and they set an intention for every day.
A leader who asks these three questions is willing to focus on the ‘we’ of the team and of the bigger picture that goes beyond the ‘me’ of an ego based leader.
I first learned to ask these three questions when I was new to leadership in my twenties. I had fantastic role models who modeled master leadership and who were beloved. I am sure you can think of a leader that inspired you and to whom you will always have gratitude.
Many leaders have vision for their role or for their goals for the targets and it is a rare leader who has ‘mastery’ goals as a leader.
What if you woke up every day asking yourself the three questions above?
How would that shape your approach to your job? To your team?
The future of work is demanding a new kind of leader, an evolutionary leader a leader who focuses on helping people to succeed and to blossom and to even go beyond you as a leader.
Ask yourself these questions every day and watch the magic happen. You will feel less of a glorified babysitter and more of an inspirational leader. You will have more energy as a leader and you will indeed become beloved.
