Absorbing the stellar performance of a captivating actress can be an experience that you hope is slow and ascending.
If the actress is young and gorgeous, which so many are, it makes the moment more effecting.
Part of the reason is that the young who have already achieved so much at an early age can remind you of what it is like to be young with a bright future with endless possibilities that you too could have effectively designed when you were young.
Is your present a work in progress towards a hopeful future or one where you have a sense that you’ve settled, underachieved and life might pass you by if you don’t take steps to do something to alter the undesired charted course?
A young gorgeous actress like Kathryn Newton can inspire you to feel so many things in so many ways.
She appears to possess a mind far ahead of her years and a face much younger than her age.
And her future?
For this bright sensuous star, the possibilities are as bright as Sirius and expansive as the galaxy IC 1101.
Her past and present accomplishments, which are vast, speak to that, which is understandable, especially since Kathryn has been acting since she was four.
Please stand before a telescope and let’s peer into her star studded resume.
Kathryn is an American actress best known for her role as Louise Brooks in the CBS television series Gary Unmarried as well as for her role as Alex Nelson in the 2012 feature film Paranormal Activity 4, which earned her the 2013 Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.
She is also known for portraying the older version of Claire Novak in the CW series Supernatural.
Our princess commenced her career at age 4, making her television debut on the soap opera All My Children, playing Colby Marian Chandler from 2001 to 2004.
Parallel to that, she also starred in two short films, Abbie Down East (2002) and Bun-Bun (2003).
In 2008 she was cast in the role of Louise Brooks in the CBS television series Gary Unmarried.
In 2010 Kathryn won two Young Artist Awards for “Best Performance in a TV Comedy Series” and “Best Performance in a TV series (Comedy or Drama)” for Gary Unmarried.
She played the role of Chase Rubin-Rossi in the 2011 film Bad Teacher alongside Cameron Diaz.
She had the lead role, Alex, in the 2012 film Paranormal Activity 4, the fourth in the franchise, and won an award at the 34th Young Artist Awards for her performance in the film.
Beginning in season 10, she had a recurring role as Claire Novak on Supernatural.
Now for our favorite. It’s time to blastoff.
In 2017, Kathryn appeared in the HBO series Big Little Lies.
Big Little Lies weaves a darkly comedic tale of murder and mischief in the tranquil beachfront town of Monterey, California.
Amidst doting moms, successful husbands, beautiful children, and stunning homes exists a community fueled by rumors and divided into haves and have-nots, exposing fractured relationships between husbands and wives, parents and children, and friends and neighbors.
Though one of the youngest cast members among super stars, Kathryn not only held her own, she in many moments powerfully propelled the storyline forward in many unexpected ways.
We were thoroughly absorbed by her performance.
In her interview with Entertainment Weekly she speaks to the challenge of performing in such a penetrating series. “When I got the audition for Big Little Lies, I knew this project was going to be different than anything I’d ever done. That didn’t change the way I approached the role. I just [knew] it was a bigger than me. It was a project full of powerful women. It changed the game. If you look at Reese and Nicole [Kidman], they were just women who decided, “Let’s create something together for women” basically. Now, they both are nominated for Emmys and they’re being recognized for their work. I’m happy for them and I’m so grateful to have been part of a project that has kind of broken down some boundaries and walls and made me a better person and a better actor.”
So how does an extremely busy and constantly in demand young lady relax? Her passion for life and even more than it contains seems insatiable.
It might surprise you but at 20, Kathryn is already a very accomplished golfer.
She is so accomplished that she even gives online lessons.

How To Golf with Kathryn Newton: How To Hit The Ball
Kathryn sometimes has this internal debate. Is she a golfer who acts or an actor who plays golf? It’s a reasonable internal debate.
Kathryn graduated from Notre Dame High School in Southern California after helping the school’s golf team win three league championships.
Mind blowing.
She routinely shot in the 70s, and her lowest 18-hole score in a tournament was a 69.
It’s great that she gives lessons because we have no idea what that all means except that it sounds really exceptional.
She also set a school record with a five-under-par round in a nine-hole match and plays to a plus-2 handicap.
Kathryn wanted to play in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open, but she got the lead in “Paranormal Activity 4” and had to withdraw from the sectional qualifier.
She appears to love golf as much as acting.
In her interview with Golf Digest she explains why. “The thing I love about golf is that it’s all on me. I can’t blame another player, the wind, or even blame a bad round on one chunked shot. It’s not subjective at all. Meanwhile, acting is very subjective. I can be the best actor and not get the job. Golf has given me balance in my life and focus and drive that I don’t think I would have had on my own.”
Therein seems to lie the key. She has found balance in a very busy life that includes her love of acting and golf along with her zest for shopping and passion.
Our suggestion is that you should keep a close eye on this brilliant young luminary.
She is a red hot shooting star with a trajectory headed towards an expansive galaxy with no borders yet discovered.
