Classic beauties are ideal to star in remakes of the original films because with the new spotlight on them it helps to distract as to why the initial film was important in the first place.
Afterwards the comparisons are inevitable.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 1975 musical comedy horror film directed by Jim Sharman.
The production is a parody tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the 1930s through early 1970s. The film stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Richard O’Brien himself, and Barry Bostwick along with cast members from the original Royal Court Theatre, Roxy Theatre, and Belasco Theatre productions.
The story centers on a young engaged couple whose car breaks down in the rain near a castle where they seek a telephone to call for help. The castle is occupied by strangers in elaborate costumes celebrating an annual convention.
They discover the head of the house is Frank N. Furter, an apparent mad scientist who actually is an alien transvestite who creates a living muscle man in his laboratory. The couple is seduced separately by the mad scientist and eventually released by the servants who take control.
It started slowly but became such a Midnight viewing hit across America that fans would go in droves to the movie theater and watch a film that they have seen countless times before so they could yell at the big screen and mimic the words and lines before the actors could utter them and howl with laughter.
Oh, they would also play dress up too.
So with a film that attracted that large a cult following decades ago, it was inevitable that Hollywood would order a re-make and given the star power of the first beauty Susan Sarandon, in the new version, you would absolutely need a gorgeous beauty with star power to pull it off.
Drum roll please. Midnight ladies and gents, it is with great pleasure that we introduce Ms. Victoria Justice.
At imdb.com they share, “Victoria Dawn Justice, born February 19, 1993, is an American actress and singer. She debuted as an actress at the age of ten and has since appeared in several films and television series, including the Nickelodeon series, Zoey 101 (2005) and Victorious (2010). She has made appearances in several theatrical releases, including Unknown (2006), as well as the 2006 thriller, The Garden (2006). She has appeared in several Nickelodeon series, including True Jackson, VP (2008), The Troop (2009), The Penguins of Madagascar (2008), and iCarly (2007). In 2015, she starred in the lead role in the MTV series, Eye Candy (2015).”
Now that is very impressive.
Wouldn’t you agree that if any young actress with elegant classic looks can pull of a re-make, it’s sweet Victoria?
“It’s a new era in fashion – there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together.” Alexander McQueen
Aside from acting, Victoria is involved in her musical career. She has performed several songs for the soundtrack to the Nickelodeon musical Spectacular!, in which she starred. She has recorded a number of songs for the Victorious series.
On October 20, 2016, Ms. Justice played Janet Weiss, one of the lead roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again.
Starring an ensemble cast led by Laverne Cox, the film premiered on the Fox network. It is a tribute to the cult classic 1975 film of the same name and directed by Kenny Ortega, using the original script written by Richard O’Brien and Jim Sharman.
Our beauty has taken part in several charity events.
She has supported charities such as the United Nations Foundation, which benefits numerous causes such as AIDS, Children, Environment, Health, Human Rights and Peace.
On September 30, 2010, Victoria announced she would be joining the Charity Campaign Girl Up.
Victoria joined Girl Up on September 30, 2010, for the campaign’s official launch in New York City and will go on to support the “Unite for Girls” tour, which travels to cities across the U.S. to activate and engage teens from coast to coast.
She will have the chance to visit Girl Up-supported programs in developing countries to observe first-hand the impact they can have on girls and communities.
As reported in an interview with the popular teen magazine Seventeen, Justice stated, “I was looking into different charities and hearing these girls in Guatemala and Africa talk about having to walk miles for water and crying because they don’t have any money to go to school. It just really broke my heart, so I want to spread the word as much as I can and get other people working together. Before you know it we can actually make a difference”.
Victoria also supported children’s hospitals.
In June 2012, the “Music Makes It Better” campaign was launched by Children’s National Medical Center, featuring PSAs by Justice, Justin Bieber, and The Band Perry. The campaign aims to bring music, arts, and other programs to children while they’re in the hospital.
When our sensuous beauty speaks, the media listens and girls everywhere follow.
Girls love Seventeen Magazine and they love looking beautiful like Victoria.
So when Victoria expressed that she loves Clé de Peau Beauté concealer on video, the beauty world listened.
At the fashion and beauty retail leader shop.nordstrom.com, they express, “A perennial makeup-artist favorite, Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer is highly editorialized and continues to win major awards year after year. It covers spots, freckles and dark circles to create an even-toned, beautiful complexion. The creamy formula comes in a stick base, which enables it to absorb in a way fluid foundation cannot for lasting, foolproof coverage.
Japanese Powder Technology camouflages imperfections while brightening skin, while super bio-hyaluronic acid creates a smooth, supple complexion by maintaining skin’s moisture level for healthy looking radiance. It blends on without feeling heavy, too, which allows radiance to shine through.”
Okay, we get it.
When we take one mouth-watering look at Victoria Justice, radiance truly does shine through.
We suggest that if you are meeting Victoria for the first time, there is something very classic about her elegant look.
If you continue watching her in brand new films or those remade, with her talent and beauty, everything she touches becomes an instant classic.
