Dreams can and do come true when you are a young beautiful girl looking for fame and stardom in the Spiritual Guru gaggle of Los Angeles, but the chances of that happening to you are about one in a trillion.
Unless you have connections or you want to beat someone up and curse them out on a Reality TV Show.
That’s why you’ve gotta love Vegas. It’s so much fun.
If you are a young beautiful girl with stars in your eyes along with a killer body, you have a chance to become an attraction without cursing someone out, spitting on them or pulling their hair extensions apart on camera.
Eventually a star attraction too if you play your Pole Dancing right.
At least that’s what we learned from one the most enjoyable “looking for a dream” films shot in Las Vegas.
It’s hard to believe it gyrated into our lives way back in 1995. Has it really been that long ago? Over twenty years. Really?
Showgirls is a 1995 French-American erotic drama film, without a French accent in sight, written by Joe Eszterhas and directed by Paul Verhoeven.
It stars former teen actress Elizabeth Berkley, Kyle MacLachlan, and Gina Gershon.
Remember Elizabeth from Saved by the Bell, as the brainy Jessie Spano?
The film Show Girls centers on a “street-smart” gorgeous drifter who ventures to Las Vegas and climbs the seedy hierarchy from stripper to showgirl without ever having to spit on someone or destroy their weave.
Produced on a then-sizable budget of approximately $45 million, significant controversy and hype surrounding the film’s amounts of sex and nudity preceded its theatrical release.
Audience restriction due to the NC-17 rating coupled with poor reviews resulted in the film becoming a box office bomb with a take of less than $38 million.
Despite a negative theatrical and critical consensus, Showgirls enjoyed success on the home video market, generating more than $100 million from video rentals, allowing the film to turn a profit and become one of MGM‘s top 20 all-time bestsellers.
Don’t we love happy endings?
It was so bad, it was good. That’s was why Showgirls was so much fun. It whisked you into a fantasy world.
“It’s the game of life. Do I win or do I lose? One day they’re gonna shut the game down. I gotta have as much fun and go around the board as many times as I can before it’s my turn to leave.”… Tupac Shakur
In Las Vegas there are so many great new beginnings and happy endings because there is so much that is fun and exciting.
Showgirls had an appeal because it really does show the fun side of Vegas.
Beautiful girls and Las Vegas are one star burst attraction.
Why do we say that?
Watching Samantha Grace wrestle Diana in aggressive grappling action can be a highlight of any Las Vegas trip.
Their match had a little more anticipation than average because they met previously and Diana as a newbie did better than most thought that she would.
We loved covering the event because it’s always nice to visit with the beautiful young stars before they do battle, and we had a tremendous time talking to both girls.
Once the wrestling started, they were ready to go and go at it they did. It was fun, sexy and very erotic to watch.
Las Vegas doesn’t pretend not to understand human nature. Not only can a girl’s dreams come true, a guy who loves to watch beautiful girls grapple is one happy camper also.
You can purchase sexy Samantha and Diana’s struggle at the San Francisco Grappling Stars video store.

Why Las Vegas is the Ultimate Vacation Destination For Fun and Entertainment
By Kylie Crosby
Las Vegas is fun and exciting. The entertainment offered is second to none. Many veteran Vegas visitors would argue that it’s the ultimate vacation destination. So if you’re looking for that one vacation destination that offers unlimited choice, Las Vegas is for you. It’s a fun, vibrant extravaganza of food, entertainment and comfort.
Only in Vegas can you grab a massive breakfast of bacon, eggs, pancakes and toast for as little as 99 cents, or indulge in an amazing gourmet meal from the world’s top chefs. Las Vegas delivers in a big way, whatever your pleasure. You can enjoy the glitz and glamor of a traditional Las Vegas stage show, or relax in some the most comforting spas on earth.
Las Vegas offers visitors variety and comfort on a giant scale. You can spend a little or a lot. Either way, you’re in for a fun ride.
But if you’re looking for a quiet vacation on the beach, Vegas isn’t the place for you. Oh sure, there are beautiful pools, complete with lounge chairs, cabanas and bars at every hotel, but there are just so many options… so many things to see and do and experience, that more than a couple of hours of relaxation time over a typical, 3-4 day visit is difficult to justify.
A visit to Las Vegas means you’re never left with nothing to do. Vegas itself offers a smorgasbord of options in virtually every category. You can have a ton of fun in Vegas without spending a whole lot of money. Major attractions include the free street entertainment offered by the Mirage (with its erupting volcano) and Treasure Island (Currently presenting The Sirens of TI, a full-fledged production complete with a large cast and stunning props).
Another popular activity of Las Vegas visitors is to check out the beautifully-decorated and elaborate hotel lobbies, casinos, bars, attractions, and shopping facilities.
For more entertainment choices, you can choose from a multitude of world-class performers in comedy, music and magic. Recent (and perhaps current) Vegas headliners have included top bands and performers such as U2, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Jeff Foxworthy, David Spade, Louie Anderson, Lance Burton and Criss Angel.
Las Vegas offers entertainment, food and gambling galore. How much you choose to indulge is up to you. Each of the massive Every hotel on the famous Las Vegas strip offers its own version of Vegas fun. Visiting each of these massive structures and checking out what’s offered is a lot of fun. But these places are so huge that you’ll want to take a break now and then. Fortunately, there are no shortages of coffee shops, restaurants and lounges to accommodate you.
With its close proximity to Southern California, Las Vegas attracts a huge number of Hollywood stars. Some visit Vegas as performers, but many come for the fun. Keep your eyes open when in Vegas. You just never know who you might see.
