A song those rose to great popularity was the 1971 tune entitled, “Thin Line Between Love and Hate“.
It was masterfully performed by the New York City-based R&B vocal group The Persuaders. The song was written and produced by the Poindexter brothers, Robert and Richard, and was also co-written by Jackie Members.
It epitomized the perplexity between seeing where passion ends and aggression begins.
In life and in sports, they are not the same, though at times because of that thin line, they can be easily confused.
We see the slightly dazed look on your face. Okay, we’ve got some explaining to do.
Time to consider some definitions.
Passion as defined at Merriam Webster Dictionary is a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something.
Aggression as defined at the same source is a forceful action or procedure (as an unprovoked attack) especially when intended to dominate or master.
When it comes to aggression it gets worse. They continue stating, “angry or violent behavior or feelings; hostile, injurious, or destructive behavior or outlook especially when caused by frustration.
You see, the line doesn’t look so thin anymore.
For us female submission wrestling fans, let’s face it, we have seen some matches where one beautiful Fem Competitor loses it and becomes angry and aggressive. As producers, at times we have had to stop a match and have a chit chat.
The subject of passion comes to mind because recently Femcompetitor Magazine was cruising through the female vs female wrestling inventory at Fight Pulse and we came across two of the United Kingdom’s sensational wrestler Amethyst’s matches and we reveled in the passion that she brings to the mats.
She excelled in public matches at Femwrestle in Germany and soared with passion in her two female vs female matches at Fight Pulse.
We have been enthralled by her passion and wrote about it.
Amethyst, UK Wrestler, Ancient Origins, Bright Future
Here are two bouts that you should have in your collection if you love to watch women grapple with passion. The producers at Fight Pulse are excited as Ringside Announcers.
FW-37: Amethyst Hammerfist vs Sky Storm
“The wait is over! Because of the buzz that this encounter has caused and multiple requests from our customers we decided to make an unscheduled release. We present to you, dear Subscribers and Visitors, Amethyst Hammerfist vs Sky Storm!
This match is easily one of our most promoted encounters. If you are not following us at the forum or on social networks, you might have missed out on a lot. Here’s how you can catch up. While our subscribers have known for several months that the two ladies would visit Fight Pulse in May, the announcement of this match was made in the following blog post: Incoming – Amethyst Hammerfist and Sky Storm. This was followed by a Twitter feud (!) between the two competitors which you can read here: Twitter – Ame vs Sky. And then there was the poll at the mixed wrestling forum, results of which irritated Amethyst, to say the least, as she revealed on her Twitter, as well as in the pre-shoot interview.”

Here is another Amethyst passionate competition at Fight Pulse.
FW-46: Amethyst Hammerfist vs Calypso
“Our third release with the feisty UK-based wrestler, Amethyst Hammerfist, filmed during her recent visit to Fight Pulse, pits her against our newest lightweight wrestler, Calypso, in a competitive female wrestling match.
Amethyst is Calypso’s toughest opponent to date. She is more experienced, and has weight advantage over Calypso. Calypso is very flexible and might have speed advantage on her side. But can she withstand the aggression that Amethyst brings to the mats? If you would like to be unaware of the result of the match, skip the next paragraph.
Calypso is simply outclassed. Amethyst easily plows her way through the beginning wrestler, thanks to superior technique, weight advantage and overall aggression. If you enjoy one-sided real female wrestling, with one competitor getting dominated despite her best effort to resist the onslaught, you will enjoy FW-46.”

Wow. Passionate and powerful.
Sometimes a great domination match is just what the FvsF doctor ordered.
Thus in regards to passion, so that we don’t cross that thin line that the Persuaders spoke of, we have a female writer who will share her suggestions on keeping passion…….well passionate.
Please enjoy.
Putting Passion Into Practice
There comes a time in everyone’s life when passion screams to be released, demonstrated, or put to active use.
There’s a sense of “Something’s missing” and it must be discovered. Becoming cognizant of your passion may require inquisitive actions, but will prove to be well worth the quest. Once unleashed, passion can bring the most fulfillment in life.
So what is passion? Passion is what brings you the most satisfaction. Passion is your zeal personified. Passion denotes a great fondness or intense interest. Passion is what makes you shine and stand out like the brightest crayon in the box. Paycheck or no pay check, passion is what you are willing to do with a smile on your face in the absence of being paid to do it. Passion is directly linked to your purpose and success in life. It helps to completes you; however, it is not to be confused with a person’s gifts, talents, skills, or abilities.
Think back to your earliest memories as a child growing up. What thoughts immediately come to mind? Were you the adventuresome kind that one day wanted to become a firefighter or a policeman? Ladies, did you line your dolls up and teach them Math or English? What was your earliest desire to become in life? What could you be found doing on rainy or snowy days? These questions may provide clues to tapping into your passion.
Day in and day out, countless numbers of women and men go to work faithfully to support themselves and their families. Their gifts, talents, skills, and abilities are used in support of companies’ visions. Passion, for many, is “on hold” as the primary focus becomes “working for a living.” While working to meet fundamental needs are honorable, and keeps food on the table and a roof overhead, what about your passion?
Is it possible to ignore your passion, as if it does not exist? In answer to this question, your passion has bounce back, resilience ability. No matter how hard you or others may try to snuff your passion out, it always resurfaces anew! Why, because it defines you. Your passion is directly connected to your purpose in life. It cannot be ignored forever. Left unaddressed, there will be times when the flames of passion will be fanned, renewing the zeal within. It may lie dormant for a season, but it does not disappear.
There are those who have already identified their passions. They can be found operating in one aspect or another of their fondest interests. For others, passion has to be discovered and identified. Unveiling passion is a process which requires reflection, acknowledgement, and execution.
Reflection: While it may not be the easiest thing to do, seek quiet times and places to spend quality time thinking and reflecting on personal interests. Revisit those childhood dreams. This is a good time to do some journaling, affording you the opportunity to capture your thoughts on paper. List things you enjoy doing – things that bring a smile to your face, as well as a sense of pleasure and satisfaction. Ask yourself the question, “If money was not an issue, what would I like to be found doing?” Soliciting the help of family, friends, and co-workers may be beneficial in composing your list. Once your list is complete, narrow your list by drawing a line through items of less significance until you are able to determine with confidence, what your passion is.
Acknowledge: Once identified, acknowledge and research your passion. Keep up the journal entries as you continue this process of self-discovery. Brainstorm ways of implementing your passion into your life. Draw mind-maps, pouring all your ideas around your new found passion onto paper. How have others successfully accomplished this? Share your newly discovered passion with others who can appreciate your excitement. This could lead to more insight and ideas.
Execute. By now you have discovered and acknowledged your passion. Great job! So, what’s next? Execution, follow through is your next step. Set a course of action in place to make room for your passion. Spend time in prayer and meditation for your next steps. Set goals with a series of actions steps in place. You didn’t stop journaling, right? Capture your goals and success plan on paper. You may want to also consider partnering with a life coach or mentor. The role of the life coach will provide the support, encouragement, and accountability you may need in successfully implementing your passion. A good life coach will help develop the leader within you. The role of a mentor will provide someone with the experience within your field of interest. A good mentor will impart wisdom and direction.
In conclusion, we’re all wired with passion. Identifying that passion and flowing in it leads to a sense of completeness and satisfaction. Unveil your passion through the process of reflection, acknowledgement, and execution. Be ready to shine as the brightest crayon in the box.
