Let’s look at the mid-sized cities.

There is so much going on in Dayton, let’s start there.

Dayton is the sixth largest city in the state of Ohio and is the county seat of Montgomery County.

In the 2010 census, the population was 141,527, and the Dayton metropolitan area had 841,502 residents, making it the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Ohio, after Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus.

Now for a bit of aviation history.

Dayton is also noted for its association with aviation; the city is home to the National Museum of the United States Air Force and is the birthplace of Orville Wright.

Canton is chiefly notable for two reasons: the first is football, especially the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the formation in 1920 of what eventually became the National Football League. The second is William McKinley, who conducted from his home in Canton the famed front porch campaign which won him the presidency of the United States in the 1896 election. The McKinley National Memorial and the William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum commemorate his life and presidency. Canton was chosen as the site of the First Ladies National Historic Site largely in honor of his wife, Ida Saxton McKinley.

Toledo is in northwest Ohio, at the western end of Lake Erie bordering the state of Michigan.

The population of Toledo as of the 2010 Census was 287,208, making it the 67th-largest city in the United States. It is the fourth most populous city in the U.S. state of Ohio after Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.
