Everything he touched turned to gold, thus King Midas was a very wealthy man. Most of us have heard of or read that famous Greek fable.
That was so very long ago, but give him his due, a very powerful fable with an important life lesson.
It’s time for a techno dance club remix.
It certainly worked for Tammy Wynette’s Stand By Your Man. Here is the link and as always with YouTube, go there quickly because you don’t know how long it will be up.

Everything that Princess Kylie Jenner touches turns to gold. She has the Midas Touch with a pulsating modern techno re-mix. Gotta Luv the Kylie beat.
Her lip stick brands instantly sell out. Golden. Now she is giving her Midas Touch to the global shoe brand Puma.
Puma SE, branded as PUMA, is a major German multinational company that designs and manufactures athletic and casual footwear and clothing, headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria. The company was formed in 1924 as Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik by Adolf and Rudolf Dassler. The relationship between the two brothers deteriorated until the two agreed to split in 1948, forming two separate entities, and Puma. Both companies are currently based in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
Puma also manufactures other products such as clothes and bags. Most of them have a tag that includes a fingertip design and phrases like ‘Always be yourself’ and ‘Wash this when dirty’.
As reported on Mar 14, 2016, the informative site racked.com shared, “Just days after teasing her Puma campaign on Snapchat, Kylie Jenner has unveiled the official campaign for her sneakers. It’s the first real look at Jenner’s minimalist black kicks, since the evil genius who runs Puma’s Snapchat account found myriad ways to hide the actual shoes.
Jenner’s kicks are dubbed the Puma Fierce and the reality star describes them as, “a lightweight trainer with zero excuses.” It’s hard to get a great look at the shoe in the ads, but they appear to feature multiple black panels and an elongated tongue, similar to Rihanna’s new Pumas.”
Does Princess Kylie have the Midas Touch?
Remember, it’s a re-mix, digitally re-mastered for exceptional results.
And what results they are for Puma.
According to the youth media anthem teenvogue.com, “Puma has plenty to celebrate today. In a quarterly report, the company stated that they’ve seen a 7.3% increase in sales. They can attribute the jump in profit to snapchat queen Kylie Jenner who recently appeared in several Puma ads, and Creative Director Rihanna who designed an original collection for the brand at New York Fashion Week.
It’s no secret that Kylie’s social media is a marketing force like no other. Just take, for example, her lip kits that sold out in seconds. When she teased the “Puma Fierce” campaign photoshoot on Snapchat last month, her legions of fans went crazy wanting to know when and where they can shop the items.”
As you can guess, Kylie does a lot of face time with Puma and when asked about why she loves their suede shoe, she responded, “Its rich and vibrant colors mostly. They really have a depth of color. The deep shades don’t fade quickly and I like the laces. I think it’s the Suede’s timeless look and style – it’s always looking so fresh. They’re my go-to sneaker from my closet.”
Female athletes? Have you heard of Puma’s suede? You should because it could become your go to work out shoe. After all, Princess Kylie loves it.
Let’s re-introduce or have you meet this stylish shoe for the first time.
Running in place, at news.puma.com they share, “Since its debut in 1968, the PUMA Suede has become a benchmark for footwear design, and enjoyed an amazing run as a cultural artifact from one of the most progressive and historically significant eras of the twentieth century. Made famous by athletic greats – 60’s track star Tommie Smith and 70’s basketball legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier, the Suede hit new levels of fame during the ’80s dawn of b-boys and hip hop beats, taking over New York City blocks.
As the times changed, the Suede went with the flow. Soon after the makeshift carton dance floors were packed away, the sneakers found its way to sticky mosh pits headlined by punk acts and then on skaters pulling tricks on a half-pipe. These days, you’ll see heads rocking the Suedes in their cozy sweat chinos or pin-rolled jeans and models with their off-duty looks. It’s the Suede’s timeless look and easy silhouette that appeals to sneaker enthusiasts. Some wear it for its function, the rubber outsole grips really well, and some for its style – with its plush leather upper and variations of colorways available.
This season, PUMA puts the limelight on a young roster of tastemakers currently making waves in the music and entertainment arena. Style icon and social phenomenon Kylie Jenner, snap queen and director of vibes YesJulz, hip hop’s catchiest duo Rae Sremmurd and 100% amped up rap artist Young Thug round up this amazing list of creative.
These kids don’t work 9-5, they’re on Snapchat 24-7 and the Suede is a staple in their sneaker rotation. Today they are keeping the sneaker culture interesting and alive with their unique sense of style and influence.
As a cool nod to the past, PUMA tapped legendary OG street photographer Jamel Shabazz to shoot the young tastemakers in Suedes and streetwear garb around Bed-stuy in Brooklyn. Shabazz was instrumental in popularizing the Suede in the 80’s with his snaps of the New York City street culture and hip hop scene. The images will be showcased in PUMA stores globally and featured on social channels.
Seeing these young breed of tastemakers rocking the Suede gives the iconic sneaker a fresh perspective. We can only be sure that the Suede will continue to transcend cultural trends and generations in the coming years.”
Well Princess Kylie has done it again.
A digitally mastered re-mix of the magic Midas Touch.
