The choice for number one is to live the lifestyle of Selena Gomez, especially if you get to keep her beautiful flowing hair.
And as spectacular as her life is, it recently got better.
Welcome to the life of a Pantene Ambassador.
Selena Gomez is an American actress and singer that we all love. Having appeared as a child in the children’s television series Barney & Friends, Ms. Gomez rose to fame as the leading role in the Disney channel series Wizards of Waverly Place.
Informally most of us know that Pantene is an exceptional hair care product. This writer has used it often.
Pantene has also drafted NFL football stars for its “Strong is Beautiful” campaign to encourage fathers to spend more face time with their daughters.
Benjamin Watson from the New Orleans Saints, DeAngelo Williams from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jason Witten from the Dallas Cowboys ham it up in a widely seen 30-second commercial.
The NFL dads attempt to style their daughters’ hair as part of the #DadDo campaign under the tagline:
“Girls who spend quality time with their dads grow up to be stronger women.”
Let’s meet Pantene formally as well.

On June 15, 2015 at their Business Wire Press Release they let us in on the inside scoop as to why they love Selena just like we do.
“Selena Gomez made her mark in entertainment by conquering film, music and television at an early age. On the big screen, she began making the transition from young actress to adulthood with such films as the much talked about Harmony Korine film “Spring Breakers.” The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival to critical claim while Gomez’s performance was singled out as a “breakout.” She was most recently seen opposite William H. Macy and Billy Crudup in “Rudderless” which premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and wrapped two films “In Dubious Battle” directed by James Franco and “The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving” alongside Paul Rudd. Up next, Gomez will reprise her role as Mavis in Sony’s animated hit “Hotel Transylvania 2” due out this fall.
Gomez’s first solo album “Stars Dance” was released in 2013 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard album chart. The first single from the album “Come and Get It” was an international hit as well her first #1 single on the US Top 40 chart. She then followed up the success of the album with a sold out world tour. “Good For You,” the first single from Selena’s new album, drops June 22.
Giving back has always been an important element in her life. She was named the youngest goodwill Ambassador for Unicef at 18 years old and has worked tirelessly to support this organization ever since. Selena was honored for her continued support at Variety’s first ever Unite4: Humanity event with the Young Humanitarian Award alongside Bill Clinton. Gomez has traveled to Ghana, Chile and most recently to Nepal as an advocate for some of the world’s most vulnerable children. She has hosted “We Day” in both Vancouver and Chicago for Free The Children, an organization that empowers young people to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change by being active local and global citizens.”
We can see why they fell in love with her body of work.
Here is the announcement.
“Actress, recording artist and trendsetter Selena Gomez knows a thing or two about beautiful hair, from rocking intricate up-dos on the red carpet to her signature free-flowing waves on the concert stage. Now, Pantene is tapping Hollywood’s “It” Girl to be the face – and hair – for its newest campaign that celebrates the power of strong hair.
“I’ve always loved using Pantene, so it’s a dream come true to be the brand’s newest ambassador. Not only because Pantene stands for strong, healthy hair but also because it encourages women to be their best selves,” says Gomez. “My style is constantly evolving and I love to take risks, so I’m always changing my hair style. I rely on Pantene to keep my hair strong and healthy so I can take on each day with confidence.”
“Pantene has always celebrated beautiful hair and strong women,” says Jodi Allen, Vice President of Hair Care & Color for North America at Procter & Gamble. “I am proud that Selena Gomez is the newest member of the Pantene family. Her talents go beyond being an actress and singer. She is a modern beauty with amazing hair and is a true inspiration.”
Pantene’s “Strong Is Beautiful” campaign will debut in August 2015. Gomez will appear in all elements of the brand’s holistic marketing campaign, including TV, print and digital advertising, in-store displays, public relations and social media.”
