June 5, 2020,
Desiring to escape during pandemic times is greater than ever. The question becomes, where do we escape to?
Please don’t say our residences. Been there, done that.
For some that is more like a straight jacket lifestyle.
Most movie houses are still closed and no matter how large our television screen is, the children are still quarreling, someone has to cook and others need to clean.
That is a very temporary escape.
There is only one way to truly escape our modern life and given the dynamics of cruise ships and their social structuring, that may not be the option that it once was.
Certainly love those Theme Parks. The great escape.
Those grand parks that feature various attractions, such as rides and games, as well as other events for entertainment purposes make us salivate.
Unlike temporary and mobile funfairs and carnivals, amusement parks are stationary and built for long-lasting operation and a greater capacity to block out the worldly elements.
How we need that more than ever.
They are more elaborate than city parks and playgrounds, usually providing attractions that cater to a variety of age groups.
We can’t say enough how during our times of raising our family that the theme parks provided us with a feeling that the outside world didn’t exist.
There is good news along those lines.
As reported at syfy.com, “News broke last week that Walt Disney World would begin opening its theme parks in July, but the news that followed was even more significant.
While Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom open July 11 and Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are slated for July 15.”
Wonderful news. Getting back to normal may be a ways away but at least we can take social distancing baby steps to get there. We’ll accept all of the good news that we can get.
Other theme parks are opening up as well.
Time for some details. You just might want to have your travel bags ready.
