With a clear understanding of the past and a vision of partnership for the future, embassynews.net reported on Greek Minister for Foreign Affairs Nikolaos Kotzias speech on Greek Foreign Policy at the University of Tehran.

He was quoted as expressing, “Greece and Iran are linked by at least 4,000 years of common history and shared cultural elements. They are two countries and peoples who moved together through history. They tried all forms of peaceful and non-peaceful coexistence. They did not become prisoners to history. They are not living in the past, but they learn from it and are optimistic about the future.”

Greek and Iranian culture have combined once again to produce a timeless work of art in the British Curvy Model Sophia Adams whose blood is a wonderful blend of both.

In terms of her recent accomplishments, superlatives are in order.

The informative global site dailymail.co.uk smiles, “Sophia Adams, a trainee officer in the Met, entered the Star in a Bra competition for Curvy Kate, a lingerie firm specializing in D-K cup bras, knickers and swimwear.

The firm does not use professional models and picks women to model their lingerie by running a Star in a Bra competition, with the winner handed a one-year modelling deal. Miss Adams, 21, fought off challenges from 1,000 women from all over the world to get down to the last 10 in the competition.”

So exceptional and at 21, so incredibly young at the same time.

Another powerful combination.

Sophia Adams appears to always be a blend of something special.

Here a few things that the winner of the contest will enjoy.

  • The ‘Star in a Bra’ winner will feature in their next campaign and has also landed a modelling contract with plus-size agency Bridge Models
  • Launched in 2009, Curvy Kate offers D-K cup lingerie, designed especially for a fuller bust.

Sophie seems to be on her way.

“A great work is made out of a combination of obedience and liberty.”…. Nadia Boulanger

The young beauty hopes to encourage other plus-size women to appreciate their bodies. She wants to send out a positive message to all women that every shape and size is beautiful. Now modeling agencies across Great Britain have made her offers, all eager to sign her.

Sophia has always embraced her curves but previously felt so much bigger than the other girls. She loves her body much like Kim Kardashian does.

The entertaining site bustle.com comments on, in part, why this is so special. They share, “The fact that Sophia Adams is not just a curvaceous woman, but also someone picked out of a crowd of everyday women, undoubtedly helps others reach a certain confidence to see their own beauty.”

The great news is that Sophia is just getting started.

So is her career as a future Police Woman.

So what are the law enforcement leadership looking for in their new recruits?

“A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.”… Nelson Mandela

At metpolicecareers.co.uk, one such agency is happy to explain. “We’re looking for people with the desire and commitment to help protect London’s communities from crime and the causes of crime. That’s why we have a thorough application and assessment process, which is designed to help us select the very best people.

Policing a city as large, complex and culturally diverse as London presents a wide variety of challenges. It’s why we’re interested in new recruits with such a range of life experiences and backgrounds.”

Sophia with her British upbringing along with her Greek and Iranian background appears to be the ideal candidate.

The group continues, “It’s why the ability to build trust and relationships with very different people is so important. More than this, you need to take genuine pride in making the capital’s neighborhoods safer for everyone.

London is a 24 hour city, of course. So this is far from a 9-5 job. You have to be prepared for a lifestyle where shift work is the norm and the working day can be at night. You need to be prepared for difficult and dangerous situations too – though there’s no reason to be daunted. Through our training, and the back-up of your team, you’ll soon be ready to face anything.”

Very informative. The world of the Fem Competitor is so often an educational and enlightening one.

They brought up lifestyle and let’s briefly take a look at that one, since at some point issues like pregnancy and peer acceptance can be different for men than women.

On July 14, 2012, here is how things were. The international news source theguardian.com informed, “More than four out of 10 female police officers are so disillusioned with their profession that they have seriously considered quitting, according to a survey of all female members of the force in England and Wales.

The findings prompted demands on Saturday from the former Metropolitan police commissioner Lord Stevens, who is heading an investigation into the future of policing, for ministers to address a “morale crisis” at the heart of the profession.”

In terms of history, the Women’s Police Service was founded in 1914 by Nina Boyle and Margaret Damer Dawson and it was staffed by volunteers.

EDITH SMITH

In August 1915, Edith Smith was appointed the first woman police constable in England with full power of arrest. Her duties were to deal with cases where women were involved. She was particularly concerned with trying to reduce the number of prostitutes in Grantham who were attracted there by the nearby army base.

There seems to be progress.

Here is a more recent testimonial from a Female Officer who has served for years and who has arguably seen and felt it all.

In an educational article on this subject at buzzfeed.com they spoke to several female officers about their experiences. Here is one that stood out.

This is from Sarah Jackson who joined the Greater Manchester police in 1995.

She shares, “Policing has significantly changed over the years. My mother was a police officer but when she became pregnant with my brother in 1968, she had to leave. We now have excellent commitment to supporting working mothers and have maternity and flexible working hours to suit.

Even the uniforms have changed.

Only 20 years ago I was issued with a set of skirts, a handbag, and a miniature truncheon – only the males got a full-sized one. Women could only wear trousers between the months of November and March, during the hours of darkness. Women in the police really do have equal opportunities now, but I know from leading the force mentoring scheme, there is still a battle in terms of improving women’s confidence and the representation of women in specialist roles.

There is no better job satisfaction than helping someone and making a difference in what is usually a time of difficulty. It’s hard work and long hours but I wouldn’t think of doing anything else.”

Very revealing.

“Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.”… Napoleon Hill

It appears that our shapely beauty, here we go again, has a combination of pathways that appear to have a bright light that keeps getting brighter as her guide.

She is a gorgeous model in demand, has a budding law enforcement career and as of this writing appears to be in a very important long-term relationship.

Are children in the future? Will she be able to juggle all three?

Let’s face it, these are wonderful concerns to have.

Given the rich variety of strong support systems that Sophia seems to possess, we’re confident that she will receive well thought out suggestions that will help her design and map out a shapely, lucrative and satisfying future.

Sounds like a sweet combination.
