Assessing her resume, you can see that her two most admired attributes are that she’s incredibly beautiful and feminine yet very new to wrestling.

That doesn’t exactly inspire great expectations.

Then you watch Maia wrestle and wow!

She’s fearless, tenacious, and very aggressive. She could take punishment and exact submissions and victories from both the new and established female warriors.

Maia from Russia is very impressive.

Some would say that she was an overachiever.

That’s a good thing.

The term ‘overachiever’ sort of makes it look like the person has mediocre talent and he just works so hard that he achieves beyond what you would think. ‘Overachiever’ is sort of a – it’s sort of an incorrect term. An overachiever is someone that’s just willing to pay the price to get so much more out of his performance.…..Rick Pitino

Like a runway model enjoying sand, sun and sea, she made her grand entrance at the famous and special Fighting Style competition on the Greek Island.

Femcompetitor Magazine salivates this description, “Maia is a true Goddess in every sense of the word so it’s fitting that she makes her debut at the Fighting Style’s Greek Goddesses tournament in October of 2005.

Maia’s battle with Gaia turned out to be one of the more intriguing. As Gaia waited for Maia sporting a super sexy pink bikini, like a runway model, Maia made her grand entrance on the stone paved walkway to the beach.

Gaia’s size advantage was fairly overwhelming as the two beauties battled. Maia seemed to be in a fun mood and made the mistake of circling and turning her back. At some point Gaia took advantage and trapped her in a full nelson. It looked like Maia was doomed but she managed to escape.

Maia would later snare Gaia in a headlock but couldn’t hold it.

Gaia constantly used her power to fight from the top position from which she encased Maia in a smother position and eventually got the tap out.”

What a sensational start.

That is the aura of the Russian Princess Maia.

She makes walking down memory lane like a stroll along a Southern California beach lined with tanned beauties at every turn. The difference is that Maia’s stroll in filled with sexy battle scars.

Let’s review a few of her matches.

In a battle with Neko outdoors at night under the bright lights on the blue mats, Neko was sporting her patented sexy black dress and beautiful Maia smiled adorned in a tight white dress and ornamental buckle.

It was a close battle back and forth with wrestling and hard slaps. They kept circling one another and getting their blows in. One had an advantage over the other moment to moment. Finally Neko was on top of Maia and began to distribute very hard slaps. It appeared Maia was going to concede but she hung tough and managed to escape, stand upright and began to circle again for another round.

The battle raged on.

It was time to face Elena. Outdoors, sunny weather, on the blue mats, there was Maia wearing her lime green ankle support as a result of a previous injury.

There is no quit in this sexy athlete.

Against Elena with American Sybil acting as a referee, she informs the starlets that there is no slapping, choking or hair pulling. Maia looking gorgeous sporting a black bikini and Elena was smartly dressed in black shorts and a white top. This was clearly Maia’s match to win and she immediately trapped Elena in an inescapable body scissors which forced the sensuous tall, dark brunette to tap out.

As the two combatants circle each other, Maia surprises Elena with a jumping body scissors and instead of Maia hitting the floor with a thud as she did when she tried that on the Canadian star Neko who discarded her, this time it stuck and down went Lena ready to submit again.

Very satisfying.

At other times, new though she may be, she could dominate completely.

It was a blustery sunny day when Maia took on the beautiful soft brunette Hera who wore a stunning black bikini. Maia wore a sensuous dark sandy colored bikini as the battle began. Maia once again proves that even for a new girl, her skills are impeccable. She controls Hera right from the start, sitting on top of her and then orchestrates a masterpiece submission where she submits Hera from a bottom position with a body scissors.

Femcompetitor has always been impressed with the talents of the German gorgeous iron woman Artemis. She’s a very capable wrestler who attained a reputation for improvement.

Now it was time for her to meet Maia.

Wearing a sizzling red bikini, blessed with girl next door looks, American Lia LaBowe as the ref provided the instructions in the outdoor ring as Maia and the German princess Artemis were about to go toe to toe in a fierce wrestling and catfight match.

Clearly Artemis held a size advantage over the smaller Maia and as a result, Maia fought from a distant and defensive position. The body slaps continued until Maia did her patented body scissors leap and captured Artemis in a scissor who deftly escaped.

Then it was time for water. Artemis needed a drink. Literally.

The competition raged on again until Maia trapped Artemis in a brutal head scissors that displayed the German’s beautifully shaped body. Could Artemis escape once again?

This was a very impressive match for a novice going up against the German policewoman.

As we round the corner on the last golden pavers of our stroll, Maia takes us to the beach.

Against Asteria engaged on the sandy Greek beach, this was Maia’s match to win all the way.

Right from the start Maia began to control the auburn haired, purple clad beauty. Maia eventually did to Asteria what was often done to her and that was to manipulate and execute a very effective smother.

No contest.

The signature match for this Eastern European maiden was when she faced German-Swiss tough girl Kahti. The slender nicely muscled dark haired German came into this match as the overwhelming favorite with great emphasis on overwhelming.

The match started as expected with Kahti being in complete control then to everyone’s shock and awe, Maia began to gain the upper hand by applying excruciating body scissors.

Amazing!

I’m this overachiever type, I’ll just work and work and I’ll just do it over and over and over again……….Venus Williams

It’s no surprise the Maia is an amazing girl. It’s in her name DNA.

The exceptional naming site sheknows.com shares, “The name Maia is a French baby name. In French the meaning of the name Maia is: May. In Roman mythology Maia: (source of the month May) was goddess of spring growth. The name Maia is a Greek baby name. In Greek the meaning of the name Maia is: Mother of Hermes.”

In Hebrew the name Maia means close to God.

The site continues, “People with this name have a deep inner desire to inspire others in a higher cause, and to share their own strongly held views on spiritual matters. People with this name have a need for harmony and balance in their lives, and respond positively to beautiful things.”

The encyclopedia pantheon.org educates, “The Pleiades” was the name given to the seven daughters of Atlas and Pleione. Maia was the eldest of the daughters, and said to be the most beautiful. Being shy, she lived quietly and alone in a cave on Mount Cyllene, in Arcadia.

Zeus, however, discovered the beautiful young woman, and fell in love with her. He came to her cave at night, to make love to her away from the jealous eyes of his wife, Hera. As a result, Maia bore Zeus a son, Hermes.

When still an infant, Hermes stole some cattle from the god Apollo, and hid them in his mother’s cave. When Apollo stormed into Maia’s cave, she showed him the tiny baby to prove he could not have been the cattle thief. Apollo was not fooled, however, and angrily appealed to Zeus to punish Hermes. Zeus arbitrated by requiring Hermes to give back the cattle. During the feud, baby Hermes played the lyre, and Apollo was so enchanted by the music that he dropped the charges, and even gave some of the cattle to Hermes, as well as other gifts.”

We’ve delved into Maia’s historical past but just as exciting is her regional Russian heritage.

No place generates as much beach excitement as when Maia competed on the beaches of Greece except the beautiful beaches of Sochi in Russia.

The well-researched site wikitravel.org guides, “Sochi is often called the unofficial ‘Summer Capital’ of Russia, or the Black Sea Pearl. This is the country’s biggest and busiest summer sea resort, attracting more than four million visitors annually with its amazing mountainous coastline, endless shingle beaches, warm sunny days, and bustling nightlife. From May to September Sochi’s population at least doubles with tourists, including celebrities and the political elite of the country.

Sochi has always been associated in Russia’s national mentality with the south, palms and a hot climate, that’s why it was quite a bit of a surprise for many that the city won the 2014 Winter Olympic bid.”

The cutting edge group businessinsider.com invests, “Before winning the rights to host the 2014 Winter Olympics, Sochi was known as a resort town, if it was known at all. Over a million people visit the Black Sea city every summer to swim, shop, lay on the beach, and generally relax.”

Do you love sunny days? If so then you’ve come to the right place.

Sochi belongs to that tiny part of Russia, which is happily located in the subtropical climatic zone. In contrast to Mediterranean climates, Sochi has a very high humidity level, like that in Abkhazia or in some southeastern states of the United States. Despite high precipitation, Sochi enjoys 300 sunny days annually, which is unbelievable for any other part of Russia except the adjacent Krasnodar Krai coastal cities. This makes nearly all the year comfortable for visiting Sochi, except maybe November through January.

I know I’m an overachiever, and I’m not apologetic about it…….Tyra Banks

Maia’s memory has been very encouraging. You don’t have to be the tallest, strongest or most experienced to have success in life. If you have passion, determination and a plan, great accomplishments can be yours. You can become a high achiever.

Over achiever is a compliment.

It helps to be absolutely gorgeous and sexy as well.

Maia’s wrestling proved all of that.
