The meaning and pronunciation of our names communicate and convey important information even if most of the analysis from the receiver is based only on perception.

The Journal of Experimental Social Psychology produced by a team of researchers from Australia, Belgium, and the U.S. conducted a very valuable study that speaks to this.

In a July 2012 article printed by the respected psychologytoday.com regarding this study they report, “Across a series of experiments, the researchers found evidence to support the name-pronunciation effect.

For example, respondents gave more positive evaluations to political candidates with easy-to-say names than they did to the same candidates when given harder-to-say names.

The results go beyond hypothetical elections: the researchers also selected a random sample of U.S. law firms and found that attorneys with more easily pronounceable names (as rated by coders blind to study hypothesis) tended to hold higher status positions within the firm hierarchy.”

The beautiful European girl Akela is a competitive submission wrestler making her move and making a name for herself challenging others at the industry leader Fight Pulse.

The site continues, “People with this name have a deep inner need for quiet, and a desire to understand and analyze the world they live in, and to learn the deeper truths.

People with this name tend to be creative and excellent at expressing themselves. They are drawn to the arts, and often enjoy life immensely. They are often the center of attention, and enjoy careers that put them in the limelight. They tend to become involved in many different activities.”

Creative, expressive, enjoying life immensely and involved in many different activities describes our star.

Oh, she is also the center of our attention and here is in part why.

Akela has faced Zoe, Katniss, Xena, Revena, Jane and Kristi among others in her quest for greatness.

Her matches are often filled with emotion, high energy and intensity.

As we often do, to achieve a more accurate assessment of a female wrestler’s ability we will do a scouting report and form an analysis by purchasing their matches as we did Akela’s at https://www.fightpulse.com/

FEMCOMPETITOR MAGAZINE SCOUTING REPORT

It’s time to provide a scouting report of the European Submission Wrestler Akela.

One of the most important axioms in the elite sports world is that you must defeat the people that you are supposed to. We are going to look at Akela’s book ends. One match is against a fighter that she will most likely lose to and the other is against one that she should defeat.

AKELA VS ZOE

Here is the pre-match scouting report from Fight Pulse. “Akela vs Zoe is as close a match-up physically as there can be. Both wrestlers are 5? 8? tall (172 cm) and reported to be 132 lb. (60 kg) on the day of the championship. Moreover, they are both 25 years of age, with only 4 months between them. That being said, based on our observation, Zoe has an advantage in upper-body strength, while Akela has the edge when it comes to lower-body power. They both have strong abs that do not easily yield to body scissors. Both Akela and Zoe displayed great ability in the elimination matches, dominating their opponents. They both witnessed each other wrestling and have learned from it.”

Here are our observations in terms of Akela’s abilities, strengths and weaknesses.

We like her sportsmanship.

When asked in her pre-match interview if she thought that she would win the match, she was balanced in not appearing to lack confidence nor presenting an aura of arrogance.

So often in matched that we have covered, especially in Northern California, there comes a time in the match where Girl A has attempted a body scissors on Girl B while she is lying on her back. Girl B then has the strength to lift her up and potentially body slam her and as we have seen, especially with newer girls, does exactly that.

To her credit Akela has the ability and positioning to slam Zoe and does not, displaying good sportsmanship.

As to be expected, early in her career, stamina can be a Fem Competitor’s biggest weakness. Akela was strong early on but appeared to tire as the match went on.

Her strengths are that she is skilled, knows many holds and is assertive.

The main area where she needs to improve is in her ability to escape holds.

When we first covered San Francisco star Daisy Ducati, she had difficulty escaping ground level body scissors while on her knees. The solution is to drive your elbow into your opponent’s thighs and force them to release.

This is an area where Akela can improve.

Too, she seems vulnerable to head locks and needs to improve in her ability to break those holds.

AKELA VS KRISTI

This is the match at the other end of the bookcase.

Since the gorgeous blonde Kristi is new to wrestling, this should be Akela’s match to win easily. Here is the Fight Pulse pre-match description.

“After facing Jane in her very rough welcome match to Fight Pulse (FW-28), Kristi is now facing an even more experienced opponent in Akela, who can be just as aggressive as Jane. If you have watched her first match you know that Kristi is a fighter at heart, and while she was outclassed, she fought out of many of Jane’s holds by sheer brute strength and power of will. She also learned a couple of important lessons in her first match. But will she be able to utilize her new experience to pose a challenge to Akela?”

Akela is very steady in a match that she should win. Our question was if she began to run away with this match early would she maintain her energy and keep her focus. She does.

Akela proves in this match that she has moved to the next level.

If you love domination matches in real competition, this purchase should be one for you.

FEMCOMPETOR MAGAZINE SUMMARY

To say Akela is impressive is an understatement. This Euro beauty is the real deal. Her stamina and form improved during the months from one fight to the next, evolving to display sensuous washboard abs.

If Akela makes a decision to stay in the submission wrestling game, she is destined to become one of the industry’s top Fem Competitors.

As her name implies in the earlier description, Akela deserves to be the center of our attention and we are lucky to have her.
