Nutrition is a subject that has been discussed in schools, at social parties, during seminars, on day time television and as many places as there are an audience willing to listen.
That’s a good thing.
It can also be a very confusing thing.
Just exactly what is good nutrition?
It depends upon who you ask but there seems to be an agreed upon foundation from which to build on as shared by the educational site medicalnewstoday.com. “Healthy eating means consuming the right quantities of foods from all food groups in order to lead a healthy life. A good diet is a nutritional lifestyle that promotes good health. A good diet must include several food groups because one single group cannot provide everything a human needs for good health.
A balanced diet – or a good diet – means consuming from all the different good groups in the right quantities. Nutritionists say there are five main food groups – whole grains, fruit and vegetables, protein, diary, and fat & sugar.”
Femcompetitor Magazine is now going to add another community to receive advice from on great nutrition and it emanates from a beautiful young woman who is from an industry not often universally recognized as a support group to go to for ideas and suggestions. What group is that?
Shapely and Curvy models.
Which by the way, they don’t really care for the term Plus Size Models.
I know what you are thinking but when you see and listen to the gorgeous model Gina Swire, she will make a believer out of you too.
At her enjoyable site nourishyoursoul.co.uk, Gina is gracious in sharing her story.
“For the past 12 years I have been working as a curvy model, getting dolled up or stripped down for the likes of ASOS curve, Macys and various magazines… I’m a pro when it comes to food on the go, being super prepared by carrying nutrient dense foods in my handbag.
My travels have taken me to Africa, Asia, South America, Europe and a lot of places in between where I have learned how to cook traditionally and taking a special interest into how other cultures stay well and prevent disease naturally.
Five years ago, my dad was diagnosed with an incurable cancer and this sparked a deep desire to learn more about how to prevent illness through self-care, positivity and nutrition. Unfortunately, my dad couldn’t be saved from this horrific illness. I thought to myself ‘I’m sure as hell going to make it my business to help people prevent this happening to them”. So here I am.
I studied at the institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. The most incredible course where my tutors were the leading experts in nutrition in the world. I’ve studied over a hundred dietary theories and learned how to share my knowledge with YOU!”
I’m nutty for nutrition. I’ve become one of those people who can’t stop talking about the connection between food and health. Now that I know how much changing what you eat can transform your life, I can’t stop proselytizing.……Robin Quivers
Those are solid credentials. There are so many people in this world promoting and accomplishing great things and this is the first that we have heard of Integrative Nutrition of New York.
At their site integrativenutrition.com they introduce themselves. “The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) was founded in 1992 by Joshua Rosenthal. Once a small classroom of passionate students in New York City, it is now the largest nutrition school in the world. Through its innovative online learning platform, Integrative Nutrition has provided a global learning experience for over 60,000 students and graduates in 122 countries worldwide.”
Interesting. They have trained a city of professionals like Gina to spread the good nutritional word.
There is nothing like personal experience to motivate people to trust that you are a true believer in your cause. Gina speaks about her life experience in the area of finding the right healthy weight for her.
In an interview with Vogue she expressed, “Last night I went out for dinner with a personal trainer, and we have hugely different views on food. His views are all based around how he looks and how his clients look. So, they’re eating to look a certain way whereas we’re eating to feel a certain way.”
Very eye opening. Had not thought of it that way.
Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand. If you have a healthy lifestyle, your diet and nutrition are set, and you’re working out, you’re going to feel good.….Jason Statham
She continues, “I know myself that the only time I’ve been a UK size 10, or a US size 6, I felt horrific. It just wasn’t me at all; I looked really, really ill. I thought I looked great because I was the same size as my friends, but really that was the most unhealthy I have ever been. Biodiversity is definitely the key when we’re talking about educating people on food.”
Good to know and very believable.
In our dignified female submission wrestling industry, before we think of seriously collaborating with someone, in terms of how serious they are about what they do, we would think they would at least have created and produced in active and effective website.
In the area of nutrition, Gina is very serious.
Here is how she reaches out to you at her business Nourish Your Soul. “So now I lovingly invite people, just like you, to totally upgrade their life, inside and out. Healing the body through correct nutrition and healing the soul through conversation and keeping on track with regular coaching.
I help time pushed people to achieve optimal health, energy levels and their individual goals through coaching them exactly how to do it.
After working with me, men and women have reported that their lives have improved in so many ways; from radiant skin, bright eyes, bags of energy and just looking and feeling how they should, all through nutrition, self-love and a positive outlook. The results have been nothing short of amazing.”
Maybe Gina could be a good fit for you. After doing further research this might be a collaboration you would want to pursue.
We are very impressed with Gina.
As our body ages, good nutrition, healthy living and feeling good are closely linked. It’s nice that in a world stocked with variety and diversity that we have another view from someone like Gina who is both nice to look at and listen to as well.
